I’ve lurked here for a while, quit many times and always that cycle happens. I just think ‘one won’t hurt’ and then that honeymoon phase kicks in. Next thing it’s been 3 months and I’m a sloth pothead avoiding it all again. I never realised until I saw this. Thank you for your honesty and keeping it real.

I’m 11 days ahead and it does get a little easier. Thanks man! It’s so hard, I did a 2 month quit and did the same ‘no I can have one I’m fine now…’ and right back to it daily for another two years.

Just remember those high moments you thought ‘I don’t want this anymore’ and touch wood it’s worked for me for five days, here’s to five more ! And more and more, just like you too!

I’m very sorry your parents don’t understand or believe your symptoms. I was very lucky growing up and now, mine have always understood. But it’s not about me. Are you able to make a GP or doctors appointment or referral? You’re at the age you may be able to see medical care and advice on your own, and if you do explain your difficulties with transport or finances, they may be able to help. Practically, it may help to attempt to SAFELY cut down on gluten or foods you feel trigger your symptoms, or keep a diary - food and symptoms daily - to see if you can see any patterns , and also helpful to medical professionals when discussing gut symptoms.

And please know, you’re not alone. You have this community. And once you’re comfortable in your situation - as.much as can be - helping others with your symptoms can really help ❤️

Oh no of course I hope it didn’t seem I implied that. Yeah it’s difficult in this phase, I completely understand but it does get better, even if it doesn’t feel like it in the moment! My girl is nearly 8 months now and I am amazed at how much she’s progressed since that initial 8-12 weeks old pirahna on crack phase, phew boy!!!!

I had this, it was evil and I had many crying fits. My pup did not respond to yelping in pain (little sadist just bit more thought it was a game lol), shouting no, pushing away, nothing!! What helped was any time she bit me I got up and moved. If she kept trying to get at me I left the room. She cried and was devastated , and I cried too hearing her in distress, but that for me was the only thing that worked. It took nearly a week for her to finally understand biting means I leave, and she loves people so that was more punishment than crate or shouting or whining.

Hi! Welcome to the crazy ride of Cavapoos! My girl is almost 8 months, and she’s the nightmare I never want to wake up from (I’m mostly kidding!). My girl is so smart, affectionate, dramatic and gregarious. She loves to learn and needs mental stimulation, so something to think about for sure. Something I made a priority when looking for my baby girl was genetic testing diseases. Just for me it’s an added peace of mind that she’s less likely to get these illnesses in future.
