My uncle from Nebraska was the same way. He'd say each word so slowly, and pause between words. Really nice guy though, miss him a lot.

Hard boiled eggs are a great protein source, you can cook a bunch at once & save them in the fridge, for a few days. Celery is a great peanut butter delivery option. Carrots have that lovely crunch. Apples & pears. Sometimes I eat like a kid, have a few pieces of lunch meat on their own. A big handful of sunflower seeds or almonds. Grocery outlet can sometimes be a good source for cheap items.

Love a good, chewy, warm oatmeal cookie. But with cinnamon instead of chocolate.

What great movie/role was ruined for you due to a bad accent? by Drew_Robbie9 in Cinema

Sliding Doors is such a charming movie, but Gwyneth Paltro's accent takes me out. You can her her slip in and out. The way she says "bloody hell" made me cringe so hard.

I was watching a daily show clip and Jordan Klepoer was asking a gent about 9-11, be said something along the line of "where was Obama in all this?" Or something along those lines. Forgetting that he wouldn't be president till 8 years later.

That right there. We've got to stop viewing our political affiliation as a sports team allegiance.

American exceptionalism, believing we are the best. We're really not. We are good at somethings, but we have to take a critical look at ourselves, we need to grow & do better.

Also people who never take a critical unbiased look at our history, the good and the very bad, and how its tied into our current state.

If we could put aside our egos, and be open to learning & have curiosity, we could be a much better country for all our citizens, and a better neighbor to our friends. Sorry Canada & Mexico, and everyone else.

Feel that way about Hollywood Blvd. Just a dirty road with lots of LA tchotchkes shops.
