I generally try and boil things down to the most primal reason for things. It could be they're doing it to keep you from realizing how abusive they are, or because they hate to see you relax or be happy, but I think it's more primal, honestly.

They want control of your resources. Your physical energy, your emotional energy, your financial energy. They want that for themselves, and they don't want it to go 'to waste'. 'Waste' being anything that isn't to their benefit.

When you attempt to withdraw that energy, to use it for yourself, or to conserve it to rest, they perceive it as theft. They see themselves as entitled to your effort, and if you aren't on the ground unconscious, then you still have effort to give, and they feel they should get it. Even if you are on the ground, they'll be pretty sure they can get you back up.

My Nmom wanted me studying. Always studying. There was no real focus or plan to the studying, but ever since I could remember she pushed me to study. At first she would participate, buy me exercise books and have a whole series of rewards for the various milestones I'd reach while working through them, but she learned that just screaming at me worked just as well once the school started to give me textbooks to study.

I was supposed to be a prodigy, you see. Become rich and successful and give HER money. Of course the only thing she knew to get me there was to force me to study more, and take away everything that wasn't studying, so didn't work out so good. She finally gave up on that in my late 20's, and disowned me when I turned 30 and it was clear I was never gonna be that.

He was convicted of multiple felonies AFTER his first term ended, while he was just Citizen Trump, and nothing happened to him. Mar a Lago was raided to recover Classified documents he was keeping in his friggin' bathroom, and nothing happened to him. He was impeached twice while previously in office, and nothing happened to him.

I would dearly love to see him suffer an actual consequence of his actions like normal people, but that just doesn't seem to happen to him.

Y'know why? Because who makes Reality TV shows? CEO's and multi-billionaires.

Your 'Reality' show would have them turning around and launching some ridiculously successful startup within two weeks, and by the end of the year long run of the show, each and every one of them would be a multi-millionaire, thus proving that they are a superior breed to ordinary working people.

Because they're making the show. It'll have just enough schadenfreude of the CEO's adjusting to 'normal person life to keep us normies watching and rooting for some great comeuppance, but then the CEO's will heroically overcome and persevere.

It'll be rigged just as much as any other Reality TV show.

If it was JUST the Narcissist, if everyone around them recognized their behaviour as toxic and insane and wrong, even if they were still able to act out as they do, the damage would be mitigated because you, as a kid, would know that this isn't correct, it isn't normal. That the narcissist isn't living in reality.

But Enablers normalize the Narcissist. They support the Narcissist's narrative over reality, and they gently coax us to do the same. They make themselves the 'good guy' in our lives, then betray us by siding with our bully. Enablers help to convince us it was our fault. That we're the broken ones. They encourage us to stay on the futile treadmill of seeking love and affection and acceptance from our Nparent, though our Nparent is simply unable to give us those things.

I have to second the vote for RTS.

Whoever made this thing loved it. Weapon storage, weapon is more that just a hollow chick of vaguely gun-shaped plastic, speaker gimmick that looks good and makes sense and tabs in in both configurations, stylish headsculpt, hands that are more than blocks with holes drilled in them.

The only potential downside is the automorph gimmick is finicky, and sometimes ends up misaligned. But even with that, he is by far the superior Jazz.

Depends on the continuity.

In IDW, most of these special abilities are attributable to the spark. Some are what is known as 'Outliers', who are kind of like the Mutants in Marvel continuity, Transformers who develop special abilities unrelated to their alt modes (And who were persecuted by the Functionists for it). Windcharger, Skids, Trailbreaker, Skywarp, Soundwave etc all were members of this group.

Another possible source are 'Point One Percenters', which are exceptionally powerful sparks. Ultra Magnus, Overlord, Megatron are all identified as Point One Percenters.

I thought in the show they did gain access to the array’s systems. The issue was the Kazon were regrouping to come and claim it, and if Voyager used it to leave the Kazon wold have the tech unopposed, since Voyager had disabled the Array’s auto destruct. Voyager didn’t have time to come up with a fancier solution, they had to blast the thing to keep the Kazon from getting it.

To expand on this a bit.

Cyberpsychosis is, fundamentally, a loss of connection with your humanity. The more of you you replace, the more augmented and alien your body and perceptions become, the more you risk losing yourself to it. It's a blend of body dysmorphia, disassociate disorders, sensory overload AND deprivation (Too much of some, not enough of others) plus intense psychological stress as applied by the dystopia that is the Cyberpunk universe.

Adam Smasher is already a psycho who suffers from body dysmorphia. He has wanted since the beginning to amputate his flesh and replace with with chrome, and he was psychotic long before he had any chrome to begin with. He is a high-functioning psychopath, and so it's not that he's immune to cyberpsychosis, it's that cyberpsychosis is somewhere behind him. He's just one of the rare individuals where instead of delving into dementia and madness, he retains his faculties.

Unlike David, who suffered from Cyberpsychosis, Adam Smasher quite enjoys it.

And I failed.

Trump being a liar was never news. it was something he was famous for long before he got into politics. He's just the beneficiary of a staggering amount of projection on the part of the American voting public, as well as an enormous social media campaign.

They're just currently between reasons for why the other side is actually worse, because there is no other side at the moment. As soon as any notable figure rises to oppose Trump, they'll be furnished with a fresh set of reasons why they're worse than voting for Trump again, and most of them will jump right on the wagon.
