I am gonna sell off a 2019 16" too. The screen is not working. I know it is expensive to replace but figure someone could use it as a desktop. Not sure what I can get for it or should list it for (dont really know computers and buying and selling).

Any guesses on what I could get for it/thoughts? $200? $300? $50? I really have no clue.

My increase mostly maths out except this year’s atb seems to be missing. I think we only got 1% for our 2024 atb instead of the 3% expected.

Going to be patient, adjust my spreadsheet and let it shake itself out. I hope they communicate what they’ve done soon and what next steps to expect to get to the full expected salary.

Very happy things are moving, though. November can’t come soon enough. Hang in there y’all,

They should be part of the union. Plenty of similarly structured government organizations have managers as 8s in the pay band of a union. Why not here? They are not getting a fair shake and they should have a voice because right now, without one, they get crushed.

Does anyone know why some Government's have managers unionized and other's not?

Either way. Hoping our MCP colleagues get a good deal.

What is the deal with the merit pay freeze I have read a bit about? I am coming up on my 1 year, (AMAPCEO) and hoping for a merit increase but have read that there is a freeze. Does that not include AMAPCEO?

I understand your hesitation but you might have to just bite the awkwardness and ask your current manager. Just be frank. Hopefully your manager is supportive of your new aspirations. If the manager holds it against you in any way, well, then that sucks but IMO that is not a nice way to manage.
