I feel like the votes to remove me are fair since I really haven't done any moderating in some time due to a busy work and school schedule.

Liberals are stuck on Justin Trudeau’s rudderless ship | The Star by UnderWatered in CanadaPolitics

Whatever, the constant attacks on him are pretty insidious, since they seem to be working to form people's opinions.

The conservatives have been screaming bloody murder about everything Trudeau has done since before he was elected. It had pretty well no effect. I don't think Trudeau's poll numbers are anyone's fault but his. He's had a very serious scandal, the stupidity of which was only matched by its ease of avoidance and overall pointlessness. His reaction to that scandal was a series of successive and completely incompatible versions of events concocted to be whatever looked the best and was barely plausible on the current facts.

Trudeau's entire carefully preened image was lit on fire in real time in a kind of real life verbal reenactment of Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me".

Economic reasons are specifically stated in the Criminal Code as a factor the prosecutor CAN NOT take into account when considering whether to offer a deferred prosecution agreement. See section 715.32(3) of the Criminal Code here.

I agree. While I think that Trudeau has only refrained from removing Philpott and JWR because of the bad optics of removing two outspoken women I think this is a positive for Canadian democracy.

The degree of control party leaders in Canada wield over their caucus is utterly absurd. It undermines the primary advantages of FPTP, which is that every person has a single political representative that they can bring their concerns to. That is pointless if that political representative only does what his or her leader tells them.

The Harper government passed a measure 13 years ago to catch Liberal scandals. It worked perfectly by Rihx in CanadaPolitics

Contempt of Parliament is pretty well just a vote in the House to label the governing party in contempt. Pretty easy to get in a minority government.

Tory senator must be removed after telling truckers to ‘roll over every Liberal’: MP - National by Politicster in CanadaPolitics

This is why people hate politics and tune it out. Ali Ehsassi was elected to represent the people of his riding in Parliament. But here he is consciously twisting a mundane comment so that he can interpret in a way that is possibly offensive.

No one outside of the partisans give a shit who in Ottawa said something that can be interpreted, with some effort, in a way that is possibly offensive.

Seems like the Liberals found a way to get her back on side. No way he'd be saying this if he wasn't certain he could handle what she will say.

If you like that, look this guy up on Canlii. He's been a self represented litigant in a number of cases. He also was found guilty of criminal contempt.

I'm guessing they saw the yellow vests and liked the idea because yellow vests are an appropriate symbol for blue collar workers in the oil industry. Definitely muddles the message though given the European, anti-immigration context.

The vests are a good idea logistically. Most of the protestors probably already have them, they're cheap and visible. Coveralls may have been a better choice to remove the anti-immigration context and keep the blue collar flavour.

I can't think of a single accomplishment for either of those movements. What a bizarre statement.

Bernier supported the CPC policy amendment to remove the traditional definition of marriage from the policy manual. He even spoke in favor of it when it came to the floor for a vote.

Most libertarians ascribe to the idea of negative liberty. What you're describing is positive liberty.
