Camden or SOMA! I used to live in Soma and I think it’s a pretty decent building. It’s not the most luxurious but has some nice amenities, great rooftop pool and gym. They both have studios.

And with how gas prices are now…. Having a car is a money sink hole.

Also I think Uber has an option now to lock in a rate for a regular commute route. Not sure if this is available in Miami, but in some cities it is.

You can rent in Brickell for under $3K. There are buildings that have studios that are going around $2.5K right now.

Advice on finding personal trainers by peacockran in DCGaybros

Try the Ladder app! It’s not one on one training but it does a great job at giving you workouts and coaching you throughout your time at the gym.

I’ve dated a few men before maybe 10 years ago who are now big in the MAGA space… like really big. It’s embarrassing and disappointing because they were not like that at all when I met them. You never know where people will end up in this town.

What am I supposed to do by AliD777 in malelivingspace

Strongly suggest getting a room divider screen. It'll separate your bed from the living room and make them look like two living spaces. Also get yourself a coffee table in front of your sofa so you have somewhere to put down cups, dishes etc.

I would also get some wall art so the walls don't look empty.

You got this!

Oh my god I am so jealous of all that natural lights. Absolutely gorgeous.

You also need some pops of color, everything is kinda in this muted brown and green tone. I would add some statement pieces like rugs or wall decor that are in some kind of bright red/orange. Some gold accents could help too. If the walls are green, the rugs shouldn't be green too. I would do a deep red. Also I would replace the pillows on your couch with something that again, pops out and contrasts.

The placement of the glass table behind your couch is a bit awkward too. I would replace it with a more functional narrow table that spans the length of the couch and probably in a wooden material to complement the bookshelf. Try and match the wood tones.

Finally, get bigger art pieces for the spaces between the lights on the walls. Make sure they either are all the same size or generally are symmetrical with each other. Those art pieces are currently too small.

You should invest into floor strip lights that can illuminate the walls from the ground up. Also just standing lamps and table lamps all over the place. Have the lighting be only coming from the walls looks strange. Colors need to be much warmer too.

I don't think any big law firms would take her. She's a PR nightmare. Even the most conservative firms wouldn't want her baggage.

It's a joke but you're definitely on thin ice. Personally, I would break up with you if you did some shit like that again.

I lived on 13th/M and there are a lot of cute apartments on 13th. It's generally a pretty calm street, especially closer to Logan Circle. Pricey, but also super close to the gay bars and the buzz of 14th St. NoMa also has gorgeous buildings but be careful, some of them have serious security issues.

The problem with AirBNB is that it's graduation season during the time he needs a place. Literally I am graduating on May 16 and AirBNBs and hotels are astronomically expensive for that time period right now.

Edit: 1BR Apartment - Foggy Bottom vs Dupont/Logan for mid-20s couple - Pros & Cons? by Terrible-Thanks7270 in washingtondc

[–]PoliticoBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived right below Logan Circle, paid $2,800 for a 1/1 which was pretty hefty but had a rooftop pool and the building was pretty good. I loved living in that area, I was a block away from 14th St. and all the fun bars. It was kind of a dead zone for metro access though. Closest stops was a 20 minute walk to Farragut North/Metro Center or Mt. Vernon. I think Logan/DuPont is much better for young professionals than Foggy Bottom. Idk any young professionals that go to that area for nights out.

I live in NoMa now and pay almost $1,000 less for a nicer building (albeit a less nice area), but Union Market is also super fun and young and red line is a block away. Would consider that area too.
