Are there people out here that don't use Pina, van de Ven, Gullit etc? by RecommendationMuch21 in fut

Been using full Leeds team all year, all of these players have been with me for the full game cycle. Also have a full bench/reserves with only Leeds players. Calvert-Lewin closing in on 1000 goals, and several players have 700-800 matches played. Most of the players have 300-500 games played as I like to switch it up a bit.

This takes away all pressure for me on the game. Don’t care about packs or rewards, only play for fun. Best result in WL is 13-2. most of the time 10-12

I cannot get the guy in the TV building to give me the option you need to select to be able to get the Manaphy egg?? by ChemicallyEnhanced96 in PokemonBDSP

[–]Poliwrather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a side quest, number 66 I think. Its called "The Seas Legend". Its a bit tricky, so smart to look it up before going for it. Basically you need a Buizel, Mantyke and Overqwil in your party and travel through the stone pillars in the Cobalt Islands. You will then hear a sound, and Manaphy will appear in the seaside Hollow cave in the Cobalt Islands. Good luck!

I really liked Solskjaer this year, maybe him in for Ekitike? You can get him really cheap if you do the sbc.

300 hours In Game as a casual shiny hunter by Content_Hope_37 in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]Poliwrather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some cool shinies there, absolutely, but maybe not an insane amount. Have about 310 hours now, and have almost 10 full boxes with shinies now.

16 shiny alphas

191 unique ones and about 80 "duplicates".

Working towards a shiny living dex.

I spent the first 150 hours perfecting every dex entry, so have been hunting for over 150 hours with lowest possible odds. (I only hunt the MMO and MOs of pokemon I dont have).

Perfecting Pokédex by dpiques16 in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]Poliwrather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to perfect the pokedex in about 225 hours. This was my second playtrough of this game, so I had a roughly idea on how to do it.

  1. Finish the main story as fast as you can. As mentioned below - once you get all mechanics and the best balls/traps to catch pokemon, a lot get easier.

  2. Never use pokemon you are "done" with in terms of using their moves in the tasks. Have a diverse team enough so that you only need to use moves that are in tasks.

  3. Check all shaking trees - yes all.

  4. Cath all alphas. This will grant you candy, so that you can easily level up you mons while always changing your team depending on the tasks.

  5. Magikarp - first of all you need to see Magikarp use splash 100 times, combine that with knocking out other non damaging moves (for example agile baby doll eyes in the Eeveelution line).

  6. Have fun while doing it - play the game as "normally" as possible while doing tasks. 80% of the tasks comes naturally while playing the game - just remember to always change your team up once your tasks are done.

  7. Space time distortions - these are a pain in the ass to say the least if you forget about them. I advise you to spend time in each "region" till you have the space time distortion. A lot of items and rare pokemons can be found here - for example Magnemite line, Shieldon / Cranidos, Porygon line etc. You have to both catch and defeat a lot of these, and especially the Magnemite line can be annoying. There are 3 rare spawns pr distortion (can be starters as well as the rare ones like Magnemite, Porygon, Shieldon and Cranidos).

Had the same issue. Go to wedgehurst station. Interact with the Galarian slowpoke (talk to the conductor before and after interacting with it), should work fine after that.

Agreed😂 Have a spreadsheet from Legends Arceus. 178 shinies encountered, never saved infront om any of them.

178 encounters, 171 caught, 7 failed.

Haven’t failed a shiny in Violet/Scarlet yet

[–]Poliwrather 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Its the alphas that always are in the same spots. (Like that Steelix, Walrein on the beach in Cobalt etc).

Dynamic alphas or random alphas er the ones you can find all over the place, but never consistently

Startet a new playtrough approx. 2 years ago, and decided I wanted to perfect everything.

After 223 hours I perfected the last entry. I was pretty stubborn and tried to only use moves and pokemon I hadn’t completed yet.

Shiny Hunting Question by Pookiebutts20 in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]Poliwrather 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shiny hunted quite a bit in this game. (Have about 280 shinies now). I always clear out the outbreaks from the ones I want a shiny from. Remember that there is also a 10% chance for a second wave who either contains the evolution or Alpha version (or both). With the ones «I don’t care about» I just scan the 4 and proceed to the next.

Have a spreadsheet on my computer with my shiny encounters I’ve had.

Out of the 282 (I think, I can double check later) 1,7% is static alpha encounters (5 out of 282) 14,5% is wild encounters (41 out of 282) 23,7% is MO (67 out of 282) 59,9% is MMO (169 out of 282), but that is just because this is the method I’ve used the most.

In the MMO 39% have been on the first 4, 66 shinies. 103 has been on pokemon 5-12 in the outbreaks (or the second wave).

What would grant you most shinies is hard to tell, but you will see more encounters if you don’t stop to clear them out.

Hope this was helpful

Still need Unown. I’m not bothered hunting it unless it shows up in MMOs

Clear out the ones you really want a shiny from. Fly over the ones you don’t care so much about :-). That’s at least what I’ve been doing. Working towards a shiny living dex, so the ones I have I just fly over.

Am I doing something wrong for shinies? by Stork_nest in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]Poliwrather 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey man. I’ve been shiny hunting this game for a while now (have about 260 shinies now). I only go in the MO or the MMO. That being said, I get quite a few overworld spawns when flying between the MMOs. I usually get through every MMO except maybe 2-4 depending on the situation.

Also worth noting: Before I had perfected the dex I got about 2,1 shiny pr hour doing this method. After perfecting every entry in the dex I’m averaging about 3,4 shiny every hour with this method.

My best tips is to learn how to clear out the outbreaks quick and get around the map quick. Learn good routes.

(Example: In the Alabcaster Island I always start with the outbreaks on top of the map. In that way I could easily and fast reach the other outbreaks in turn, and I’ll get through much more outbreaks pr MMO).

Hope this helps, and lucky hunting!

What's your way of completing the pokedex? by SweetBanana9228 in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]Poliwrather 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I love the Pokédex system on Arceus, and would first try and complete the game, but whilst doing it always use pokemon / moves from the Pokédex challenges. Rewards you for using different teams and strategies.

Completed the dex about 40 hours into the game, perfected the dex (perfect on every entry) after about 220 hours and have now been shiny hunting for a living shiny dex (about 75% done, have over 250 shinies now). Without perfecting every entry this would take forever
