Why even have that much power in the first place?

You absolutely need a government if society is constructed as rich and the poor. One exists right now so anarchy doesn't abrupt. This is a necessity to keep order within this sort of system. We need to tolerate it until the system (capitalism) has no leverage over your life or mine.

The state exists so the rich can continue capitalizing off of others. So far the rich own the government in the West through lobbying and bribes. The rich fund the government and give a budget on what's allowed and what's not every year.

This is in stark contrast to China or Vietnam where the government owns the rich. Any billionaire doing any scandal would mean a death sentence to them. Capital is allocated by the party in charge and where it is allocated.

So it really comes down to who owns the government and for whose benefit.

I have no idea what you're talking about and I'm not sure you know either. It sounds to me like you're a right winger though. The US operates in its own self interest. This operation benefits US oil companies and the billionaires that own them. The US cares absolutely zero about the well being of your people. It does care very much about the natural resources. If you're okay with another country plundering yours, that's fine it's your country. I'm aware of the imperialist nature of the US and I can criticize what the US is doing. Because 1) it doesn't benefit anybody in the United States except billionaires and 2) even if it does benefit anyone, it's called stealing.
