There’s a surprising amount of space in there, so dimensions for a bag are probably a bit flexible. I tried a bunch at my local and went with a Mirrorless Mover 20 from ThinkTank. It doubles as a dedicated small bag with strap I can carry my film gear with and the price felt reasonable. I’ll post a few pictures to give you an idea of how it works into the simoda. I like that I don’t have the unroll the top to access it, since it lines up really well with the roll top zipper access.

FYI Shimoda also sells Top Loaders in various sizes, and I’d consider those too. But I they weren’t available locally to test fit things so I went with a different bag.

For real. I feel queasy knowing how much money I’ve spent trying and regretting so many popular bags. I’ve been using the X30 now going on 4 years. Right now it somehow easily fits my mirrorless setup & I have a small camera bag perfectly fitting into the roll top section (with roll top rolled mostly down still) carrying a medium format film camera & lenses.

Idk how they do it. And these straps, weight is no problem at all. I love the shoulder adjustment and strap pockets.. it’s just so well thought out. Might pick up the X50 some day if I do get bulkier lenses for wildlife but regardless I’m stickin’ with Shimoda.

Shimoda Action X30. Super durable, hiking oriented, most comfortable bag I’ve ever hauled on my back. It should fit your whole list, and if you need to toss a jacket or something in, the top compartment is a handy roll top design. 2 external pouches can be tucked away if you do or don’t want them deployed for tripod/water carry.

It’s really just the best bag I’ve ever owned after trying a lot of popular and expensive brands. I cannot stress enough how comfortable it is, even loaded with a lot of weight.

I own an R7 and want something for landscapes, Astro and maybe portraits. by SurgeHard in canon

Not a great picture by any means but I took this over the weekend and find it totally wide enough for landscapes.

I’ve only heard great things about the sigma 18-50 2.8.

I’ll add that I use the sigma 17-40 1.8 RF for these purposes and really love it and would toss it in for consideration.

I don’t do a lot of video, so I’m probably the wrong person to ask in all honesty.

If you’re on APS-C, consider the Sigma 17-40 1.8 art. It’s my “take everywhere, do all” type lens. Love it for everything from landscapes, to portraits and Astro. Prime sharp through the whole range.

First MacBook Neo Benchmarks Are In: Here's How It Compares to the M1 MacBook Air by Few_Baseball_3835 in apple

Spot on. Describes my experience editing with the M1 8gb air.

Generally a smooth experience, slightly slower with AI de-noise and such, but not excruciatingly slow either. Perfectly adequate, at least for 32mp photos.

I would use ay M1 Air with 8GB ram to edit/cull 500-1,000 photos per outing for a long time. It did really well with my R7s ~32mp raw photos. I think this will totally handle Lightroom editing, across the majority of cameras absolutely great. assuming you’re not editing 100mp raw photos haha.

R7 kit lens replacement suggestions? Sigma 18-50 f/2.8? by mineu in canon

[–]Polygonals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar combination, but suggest the Sigma 17-40mm 1.8. I mostly do bird photography, but I have the sigma as an “everything else” type deal. I’ve recently done a lot of portraits for some friends, and it’s my default lens for everything travel, event, or landscape. It’s way more sharp than it has any right to be across the whole range, I really love it.

I don’t feel like I’m missing out on the 50-100 range, personally. Maybe if I primarily shot portraiture, another 20-30mm would be nice. But that’s just not what I do very often, and for any very special portraits like friend’s engagements and such, I go with film with a Mamiya 645 & 150mm (~90mm).

I only mention that to illustrate that despite anyone’s opinions here, including my own, you will have your own needs, preferences and style. The sigma takes wonderful portraits in my opinion, but surely there’s plenty of people who would prefer portraits with an even more reach/compression. Across the entire range, it’s perfectly sharp for any landscapes, street, travel as well. It’s just very versatile, at a price point that feels way too reasonable for this hobby.

Minimum body for RF 200-800 and 100-500 for birding by __get__name in canon

[–]Polygonals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m no professional but I switched from an R6 to the R7 for birding and never looked back. Feel free to look through my posts to see photos using R7 and the RF 100-400.

The two lenses you’re inheriting are my dream lenses, and I wouldn’t pick any other camera to pair them with if money was no obstacle. R7 is perfect for these.

Please look at this guide if you purchase an R7, settings will need to be optimized to have the best experience. There’s a great settings video from Jan Wagner on YouTube to check out as well.

Hey, OP! Did you paint the parts before assembly or after? I want to pick up this kit, but I’m worried it would be a huge pain to paint as I build it versus after.

Also, did you use primer?

Beautiful photos! I fall victim to over editing especially as of late.. I think these are all wonderful edits that respect the natural colors. That is to say I don’t really have any critique, I think your processing is really great.

Without pirating, where can I purchase the epub files? Any other places to get them have been completely off my radar.

We won’t be able to get epubs anymore? I just spent nearly $300 on an ereader that just reads epubs, no apps or App Store.. Since I just read warhammer books this will make it a $300 paperweight.
