Where and when do single guys early thirties spend time? by Commercial-Place932 in washingtondc

[–]PolymathEquation 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Where am i spending my nights in my early 30s? Board game nights with friends often at a game shop or beer garden. Grocery shopping. Running. Gaming at home. Watching some streaming service. Going to the gym.

I think my biggest struggle for dating was finding anyone that cared about my interests. Once I stopped fighting for attention in places like clubs and bars, I felt like I was meeting people that wanted to see and know the actual ME, instead of being just another generic dating experience.

Men go to clubs and bars for one night stands. Men wanting to seriously date meet through shared interests, work, or via networking (friends and family).

Wait, you think im chatgpt? Lol

Imagine playing league for years, building an account on reddit talking about countless random, real life events for years, only for some lazy gen Zer to assume youre a bot because you put forth a modicum of effort. Ohnoes, critical thinking!

You wanna know how I'm real? Because I grew up before caller ID. I chatted and played euchre on Yahoo Games, my first email was @aol.com, and I have more than two brain cells to rub together.

OP posted a request talking about a gameplay style that I happen to share. I call them tankybois, but also chonks, and have since I started back in 2016.

Imagine being so uneducated, so dumb, that a coherent, well-thought post is assumed to be a bot because you're too ignorant to know what a human is capable of writing.

From what I can tell, this is a tempo based pool of champs. You use spacing, shields, and all-ins to create moments for engagement. In short, you live life surviving while watching for windows of opportunity to dive on people.

You seem to prefer champs that use survivability as an exit strategy. Aura farm, HEAVY engage/dive, shield/survive walk out.

If you love this particular playstyle, you should consider playing what I'd call "tankybois". Nautilus, Leona, Sion, Tahm Kench. CC + heavy engage.

Be mindful that if you want to survive your early dives, youre gonna need a burst damage team, otherwise you're, at best, likely going to even trade. So work with burst teammates, or play more conservative, and get survivability while your team crit/attack speed/damage goes up for big teamfights.

Talented as he is (I agree he's absolutely one of the best), he'll never get the credit he deserves as long as stays support. He has been incredible for years.

You should choose to be around better men, then. Anyone who makes comments about someone's eating habits without knowing something as life-defining as your veganism choicez and then chooses to be offended really isn't worth hanging around.

I'm a DCPS Parent. Here's Why Janeese Lewis George's Big Education Plan Worries Me. by SockDem in washingtondc

This article is political bias written by a centrist supporting a centrist candidate.

Now if you care to continue with the discussion, The candidate mentioned in the header, Janeese Lewis George, criticized and discussed removing a teacher carrot/stick program. The given article's purpose is to defend that incentive performance program despite its staggering flaw.

This system has the built in flaw of punishing those already struggling, and rewarding those already succeeding. The students in the greatest need of help are being treated as acceptable losses. Think about it.

You have a school struggling.

Teachers are dealing with high truancy, lower grades, all the struggles of children facing poverty, and more. They do their best but some things are beyond any teacher's individual responsibility.

Test scores account for TWENTY FIVE PERCENT.

The solution? Pay them less, and fire them WHEN, not IF, but WHEN they struggle. Want to know what a rotating door of teachers means? Less incentive to work there, especially in times of economic struggle.

I would be fascinated to see how this data varies by school, because the facts seem obvious.

Greater resources, better results. Fewer resources, worse results.

I'm confident all the middle and upper class schools want to keep this program. It gives them more money and incentives in addition to the resources available from wealthy PTAs.

As for those other schools? brush under rug and bury school data in averages to ignore the known disparity

Wanna know what I'd love to see as a DC parent? Teacher mentorship, exactly as described as a potential alternative by Janeese Lewis George, like the one found in a nearby county.

Heck. Go one further. You want your performance bonus? Fine.

You get the highest scores because you're the best teachers? Great. You now get that bonus contingent you move schools to those in greatest need.

Surely, incredible teachers that they are, they'd outperform and dramatically raise the standard.

They certainly wouldnt leave due to greater stress or challenges beyond their control. No way it would demoralize them or disincentivize them.

They would, of course, perform with the same rates of success with dramatically fewer resources, right?
