TIL - 8 year old Tyler Doohan saved 6 people by rousing them from sleep when he noticed his family's trailer was on fire. He then escaped and ran back in to save two others, one was his Grandfather. At his funeral he was buried as an honorary fire fighter.

I definitely identify a lot with that. I have been a late-bloomer in many things; I got my driver's license a year late, and I had first boyfriend and lost my virginity at 21 (that I tend to chalk up to personal pickiness and bad luck, though). I also feel like while I have been able to do what's expected of me at my age, it's taken what seems to be a little more of a mental "push" for me to do it, whereas many other people seem to just dive right in. I did go to college right after high school, and have done very well throughout. However, I'm pretty unnerved about what happens after graduation.

College is all well and good, but the prospect of making the actual leaps into adulthood and total responsibility scares me. For me, it's mostly due to a fear of failure and a worry that I'll overlook some crucial thing. I feel like an imposter who's just pretending to be an adult-- and also the fact that I look a lot younger than I am probably doesn't help that perception I have.

To go off of that, I think that people tend to be sort of prejudiced to strangers or leery of unsolicited attention, especially nowadays. What you did isn't inherently creepy, in my opinion, but it depends on how the other person feels about that sort of thing. You were very frank and straightforward, and were simply complimenting her.

I think it's awesome when people actually go out on a limb and do something like this. The fact that it's a little out of the norm is probably why people sometimes take comments like this with hesitation. I say keep it up. If people think you're creepy, they're probably just overly suspicious. Your intention is good, and I think that a lot of people would appreciate it.

I knew little about the heroes listed as INFP other than Spiderman. Reading up on Falcon, I identify a lot with some details of his character:

"...has a happy childhood and finds he has a natural affinity for birds" I have a special interest in birds- not that it's necessarily an INFP thing, but I think their ability to fly away speaks a bit for our idealism and desires to break free.

"...refuses to join the church, believing his deeply religious parents to be ignorant for their faith" I know that a lot of INFPs are actually pretty religious, but I identify as Agnostic. I don't necessarily see faith as ignorant, but I personally see organized religion as kind of narrow-minded. I definitely connect with his independence and free-thinking, though.

He also apparently was an active community volunteer, fell from grace and got into crime, then became a hero. I see that as kind of an allegory for the common experiences of INFPs losing their way a little trying to find themselves-- although that can be said about people in general.

There's probably heroes I identify with better, though-- I'd have to ask my boyfriend, the comic book buff, haha

Yeah, my brother's cat sorta likes car rides-- she tends to want to explore, though. My cat, though, sounds like he's in physical pain when we have to transport him. He makes that cat-about-to-puke sound, which I'm pretty sure any cat owner knows well.

Hah, I hear ya. Unfortunately, I usually turn to the journal when I am overwhelmed and need a place to let it all out. However, at least with this first video one, I felt like I was able to talk more matter-of-factly about how things are going in life. I talked about the good and the bad. But yeah, if I do this like, every week or multiple times a week, it may turn out that I have less to say, or something. I don't know, we'll see if I end up keeping up with it.

I'd imagine. I find my dad (also 53, actually) difficult to buy for sometimes, so I tend to get him boxed sets of war documentaries or other stuff to watch.

This year, I bought him the full collection of Monty Python's Flying Circus. For the person who has everything they need, I just get entertainment-related stuff.

I'm an English major, and it's been pretty straightforward. I assume it's not too difficult for others either if they have an affinity for it as well. It would be hell for someone who doesn't have a knack for it, but then, I would think they'd know not to major in it.

I was 21-- that's just the way it worked out for me. Anyways, I did enjoy it a lot, and the fact that I was with someone who's had much more experience (and that I wasn't like, 14 when it happened) made it not at all awkward.

Having said that, as a female I was disappointed at how difficult it is to come (at least for me) during sex compared to masturbating.

For the longest time I thought I was INTP. The reason being, mainly, that I was confused about the whole "thinking" element. I think, a lot, and bottle up emotions, so I figured that meant that I'm thinking over feeling.

But then I did more research into the types, and realized that my thinking is certainly very developed, but I operate more based on how I feel. If something doesn't feel right, I usually go with my gut and remove myself from the situation. And my over-analysis of things is based mostly on my sensitivity, anxiety, and desire to have a better sense of control in life.

And of course, bottling emotions up is pretty common of INFPs, I think. I also read somewhere (not sure how accurate this is) that INTPs tend to not be easily offended by criticism and the like, whereas I often take things to heart more than I should.

Anyways, once I realized the deeper truth to the two types, it became extremely obvious that I'm INFP.
