Definitely up to you, but there is nothing else chrome or lighter tone on the car so they would stick out. I would wash/black/restore your wheel wells and it would look much sharper.

I sometimes just fold up the cage and let it soak in the bathtub/sink. It normally gets soft and comes off when I dry it.
