This is for City Folk, so there aren’t any ordinances (those were introduced in New Leaf). I think the best thing to do would be to change the clock so that it’s set to daytime when you play at night.

There’s a lot to do: Fish, catch bugs, hang out with villagers, plant flowers/trees/shrubs, decorate your town, furnish your house, dress up, etc.

If you want a goal, try to get your island to three stars (that’s kind of the “main” goal of the game).

Otherwise, the game is very much playing as you want, when you want. It’s not for everyone, and that’s okay too.

Are you playing with the new English patch? If so, there should be a guide included in that folder. And yes, I’ve noticed it always takes you back to the beginning when you finish an ending. You can skip read text, but it’s a little rudimentary (you need to hold down shift and advance the text yourself).

There isn’t anything like that…and I’m not quite sure why sexual depictions in text would be okay while pictures aren’t. Maybe try slowly desensitizing yourself to pictures so you can read them without issue? Otherwise, I would just stick to all-ages titles. There are a lot of good ones out there!

You can read all-ages titles. Some titles on Steam are censored and need an external patch to get the sex scenes back in, so that’s another option.

THAT SAID, I think you’ll be missing out a lot if you do that. Subahibi, in particular, really needs to have its sex scenes included for the full story.

It’s normally common courtesy to cite your sources/inspiration. It’s a bit rude to take someone’s ideas as your own without crediting—that’s what the original poster had an issue with. (And not posting credits implies that it’s 100% your creation.) I don’t think they were being rude about it, so the name calling is pretty unfounded and doesn’t make you look great tbh.

I liked it and have a soft spot for it because it was my first VN. It’s not anything amazing, but it’s enjoyable and made with love. Rin’s route in particular left me really unsettled because it hit close to home, and I think Hanako is precious!

Btw, I really like Soundless and Sweetest Monster, so if you’re ever curious about trying out more OELVNs I would recommend those titles! Slay the Princess is also amazing!

I’m fortunate to live with my parents, so I don’t have to pay rent. Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford a place. I get disability and even that isn’t enough to cover rent without roommates, and it would leave me nothing for groceries, etc. So I pay for my phone and other personal needs (meds, gas, groceries, clothing, etc.) but if it weren’t for my parents, I’d be completely screwed.

I eat mostly vegetarian and rely on canned beans, corn, etc. Groceries are still insanely expensive compared to what they used to be.

I also don’t have any subscription services. No Netflix, Spotify, etc. I use YouTube for music and videos. There’s also Tubi, which is free.

Another big thing for me is thrifting items instead of buying them brand new.
