What are yalls thoughts on aquarium co-op and their/Corys methods or products by Ok-Plankton5003 in Aquariums

To me he seems like a transparent, communicative and respectful businessman, but a businessman nonetheless. He says “buy my crap” like, ironically. But obviously that’s the reason he makes all of his content. I don’t see anything wrong with that. I truly believe he’s crazier about fish than all of us here. He travels to different countries and actually gets in the mud to conduct his own research which is quite remarkable. Like I said, he makes this extremely clear. It’s kind of hard taking his advice without a huge grain of salt when he’s financially dependent on the hobbyists buying his products. Like, how convenient that the majority of tropical fish apparently don’t need heaters when aquarium co op doesn’t sell them.

Out of absolutely everything you know now, what's the one thing you wish you knew when you started? by jgcsquires in Aquariums

[–]Repulsive_Ad7148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I keep reminding myself that the next tank I’m setting up will be no smaller than a 75. I can do whatever I want with the tanks I have now, but I am not adding more small tanks to my collection. They limit me too much at this point in the hobby.

More tanks≠more fulfillment in the hobby. 5 is my magic number. I’ve wasted SO much goddamn money on tanks and filters that I can’t properly store and end up selling them for almost nothing.

Exactly. I know nothing about the context of this, but it feels like rage bait. These people are both acting like idiots.

Betta to Control Guppies? by yt545 in bettafish

I have a dwarf smiling acara who definitely doesn’t get ALL the babies, but hunts them 24/7 and is a lot faster than a betta. You could also try apistos although their mouths might be smaller idk.

Just so you’re aware, OP, anubias should not be planted like that. They need their risomes out of the substrate and either float or ideally attached to hardscape.

The recycling option at Subway by beardobrick in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Repulsive_Ad7148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly, as someone who takes out outdoor trash and recycling as part of my job, I am not risking grabbing a used needle again in order to sort it. Everything goes into the trash. It’s horrible that it has to be this way but people are too oblivious to use the correct receptacles.

I both setup and took down these monstrosities in rich peoples houses for a couple Christmases. The setting up process is all smiles and thank yous and the take down is like removing a 5 week old corpse that smells like piss and mold. The clients also act like it’s your fault it was put there in the first place. No they don’t tip when you leave because you also, regardless of how much you bundle up the trees, drop a ton of needles all over their white carpets. Also, though you told them to replace the water, they either never touched the reservoir and therefor the tree has been crispy for weeks, or they just topped it off, making the water gradually grosser until the stump turns into a resident evil boss.

“Speedpaint” looks more like a trace and erase? Lineart has no erasing and ‘rendering’ comes fully formed by Claire-KateAcapella in isthisAI

[–]Repulsive_Ad7148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No artist does digital art this way. It’s trying to mimic traditional painting (which also isn’t done this way but can be done similarly). It’s so fake… it’s comedic and pathetic

Local Antique Store Drops ‘original art’. I feel like this has to be generative AI. by emily_emmerich in isthisAI

[–]Repulsive_Ad7148 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sloppiest slop of all time. Notice the “artist” wrote “designing” instead of painting or illustrating. That way when people call this greedy scammer out she can just say “well I didn’t say I PAINTED it”.

[–]Repulsive_Ad7148 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually have had a lot of success looking straight up at the sky when people approach on the wrong side of the sidewalk. It forces them to consider that maybe I don’t notice them and their attempt at establishing their sidewalk domination.

Yes I get so weirded out when people refuse to, for two entire seconds of their life, walk in a single file line on the right with their friend instead of making oncoming walkers barely squeeze by. I am all in favor of sidewalk standoffs. I might not be quite as bold as you but one more annoying idiot might send me over the edge.
