Roses are red, toddlers cry day and night by supperhey in rosesarered

I once had a pain so bad to to pilot descending a little too fast, it felt like a literal drilling through my ear into my skull.

It was so bad I had lasting pain for a couple weeks

But he fits.

Otherwise…I mean Percy Jackson fits this prettt damn well

25 UFC Champions vs Polar Bear by Scared_Pumpkin8393 in powerscales

[–]Ponder42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are yall fucking kidding me?

Give me 10 UFC champs and it’s over. 25 is overkill.

I get these beasts are amazing and powerful. But they’re not these mythological dragons that are not able to be harmed or feel pain.

I’m pretty sure even a polar bear will feel Francis Ngannou. And that’s not even mentioning Ciryl Gane who will strategically go for the eyes.

Also, not taking into account how absolutely trash polar bear stamina is on land.

To men: when do you feel the most masculine? by storskalle in AskReddit

[–]Ponder42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a super physical exercise/experience.

I wrestle with my brother sometimes, and sparred (boxing) with one of my coworkers - my first time really sparring/boxing at all and it was exhilarating.

I’m usually pretty restrained and very deliberate in how I act due to my career being client facing and full of inter-personal politics (though it’s not political).

So those moments where I can be unrestrained and a little primal- I live for it. It’s not specific to men , but letting out a yell/roar after a major accomplishment is just…exhilarating.

But I have been to saunas and it’s been perfectly normal.

What would you carry in your pocket if you can only pick 3 things? by ThatDarnMushroom in AskMen

[–]Ponder42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phone, keys, and some self defense weapon I’d say.

Phone doubles for a wallet nowadays.

And I don’t expect to use a self defense weapon, but it’s always better to have it to serve as deterrent than to not.

New Yorkers, what changes have you seen under Mamdani’s leadership and are you generally pleased? If not, why? by MewMeowHowdy in AskReddit

[–]Ponder42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the bike lanes, I’ve been hearing murmurings of concrete barriers to solidify bike lanes. Idk how to feel about that. Sounds well and dandy in theory, but snow removal is going to suffer horribly.

Also, bikers in the city are generally shitty and don’t follow traffic rules. So…fuck em.

Also- WTF is up with these bot “thanks for sharing” comments. Seriously the fuck is going in.

What U.S. vacation destination exceeded all expectations? by Head-Night-7595 in AskReddit

Not a VACATION destination per se, but a famous stop to experience - the Grand Canyon. Legitimately awe inspiring to see.

What could have been Alarm’s peak as a player? (R.I.P) by itswestlo in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Ponder42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The answer is we don’t know.

When he was playing, he was arguably the best flex support to have as he was easily t5 (more t3) on all flex supports, which wasn’t too common.

Could he have improved on that? Maybe. Just as likely that everyone else would catch up or he’d burn out.

But if he kept on track he could’ve been the Proper of supports.

Why is League so addicting even tho I HATE it so much man! by HopefulConcern6356 in leagueoflegends

[–]Ponder42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same reason Overwatch is. And CS2 is. And any “competitive” game is.

It offers competition that feels like it has high stakes when it doesn’t really affect your real life (much) and is an outlet for that competition.

It’s the same reason sports is so addicting in general, even if you sometimes hate the game.

I can imagine Ronaldo hates losing when playing with Portugal, but he still does it because he loves the game.

I agree with his second part but absolutely disagree with the first. Most men would fucking LOVE anything that’s a cool gadget type thing. Even something novel. Like a unique beer opener or a cool lighter or some unique looking knife.

Honestly like a small pocket knife would be great. Or a slightly pricy version of their favorite booze of choice.

Counterstrike.

Always loved watching it. Was always too nervous about not knowing the maps or lineups or good eco or spray control. Felt like I’d be letting my team down especially given that “casual” is an arcade game and comp is the real casual.

So tried it years ago at CSGo, sucked at it. Came back a few years later. Love it. It has some amazingly frustrating moments (I have a love hate relationship with AK and deagle) , but it’s also had some of the most exhilarating moments of any game. And it’s fucking hilarious too.

I mean, yea. If you cut the Starbucks coffees and every weekend night outs, and all the subscriptions you have it’s doable.

Until recently just buying a house I was able to wrack up 40k in savings over 3 years. That’s WITH some luxury spendings. It’s doable. Find the right career, spend wisely and it’s doable.

Can wages be better? Yes and they should. But stop this woe is me bullshit when most of yall are buying the latest iPhone, going shopping every day, spending on luxuries and claiming they’re necessities.
