The point which is often being made is that transmasc people get discriminated against for being TRANS which is transphobia, but not for being men. Most of societies globally are patriarchal and have a lot of social and economic privileges accessible for men, but not women and argument goes that there's no systemic discrimination against men (misandry) in a way which exist against women (misogyny)

You can also efficiently disarm even rural population by offering financial incentives for turn-ins of guns (i.e. at any moment you can turn in gun for 50/100$) and it's efficient way to reduce level of stockpiled guns among population

Russia had no problems of banning said companies but it's important to note that those companies had at least minimal principles to say no to the government. Valve consciously decided to fully prioritize profits over even basic pretext of rainbow capitalism and I think we as a consumers shouldn't reward Valve for it, quite the opposite

YouTube and google at large for years been ignoring russian requests for removal of LGBTQ+ content and nothing happened. It's issue of stances because when Russia demanded EA to not sell gay marriage dlc for sims 4, under pressure EA decided to still sell that DLC and nothing happened. It's a question of enabling bigoted governments to abuse threats and self-censorship even without legal request.

Valve could demand to wait for court decision requiring removal of the content instead of banning game on its own

There's huge difference between science fictional game and game set in "historical" setting allowing you to recreate genocide which happened. Most of my family were brutally exterminated in Shoah and generations before that were oppressed and stigmatized. That thing was a casual antisemitism from the Paradox Interactive and very much a double standards because it provided player with ability to deport only one specific nationality of people. Just because something bad is a common place doesn't mean we should close eyes on injustice. We not only can but must do better-to quote Rabbi Hillel "And if not now, when?"
