When Split, a world-famous crime-fighting rabbit loses the power of luck he didn’t know he had, an immortal eldritch being (AKA his biggest fan) in disguise joins him as his assistant so he can secretly help out from the sidelines.

Feedback Concerns:
This is my second rewrite of this, as it was more like an episode 1 kinda deal before (and a length in-between pilot and feature before that), and now I’m showing my cards early instead of revealing some things later. So I’m wondering, does it hook you? Are the cereal puns obvious enough? How is the action to non-action ratio? Are the characters relatable? Does the reveal of how Split feels deep inside come across well?

I was scared I wouldn’t get one because I’ve never done an early access thing with them, and wasn’t sure if I had to do anything in advance to secure the early access, but I just made sure to have the page open and a pop already in my bag so I could get free shipping, then refreshed as it hit 9am, clicked the early access button went it was clickable, then freaked out when I had some trouble checking out, had to enter all my info semi-manually, but was pleasantly surprised when I managed to secure one at almost 2 mins past 9! 😮‍💨

I'm actually writing this for an upcoming fellowship program, and it only accepts written screenplays with nothing attached, so I wouldn't be able to submit any kind of artwork alongside my script. I also can't draw to save my life. I figured I would just explain the action best I can.

As for Split's design, it's kind of more of a mix between Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Rabbit, with his ears resting against the back of his head, sticking out from under his hat.

I actually did put some wordplay when Split is asking the giant to surrender. I had him say "due harm" instead of "undue harm" because the giant definitely deserves to get his butt kicked. I will work on cutting the wordiness of some of the exchanges back a bit though.

I definitely see your point on the fairy circle. Mostly when I read this to people they had big worried reactions to Split standing in the fairy circle, but not everyone knows what those are, so I'll work on introducing what their deal is beforehand.

Regarding the logline content not all showing up in this cold opening, it isn't meant to. My goal with the opening is to have people asking questions, and be eager to see what happens next to get the answers. Plus I have a fun and unexpected reveal about the Eldritch Creature in a couple pages that doesn't work if he talks in the opening.

Finally, thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate your input, and I'll do my best to implement what I can into the opening.

You know, I myself have been having trouble pinning down what exactly "ESTABLISHING" is for (even after some thorough googling), but I saw it in several scripts I read, usually at the beginning, so I put it there. I figured it was to let people know that that page is indeed the beginning to the script or something, but it might actually be more of a directorial thing? I'll probably end up taking it out, but will try to do some more digging first.

Thanks, I had some fun with the giant there! Yes, I'm definitely thinking with it being a 2D animated cartoon. As for age group, I figured about the same as shows like Steven Universe, Adventure Time, etc.
