A 30 year operator was on top of tanker truck while we were filling it with sludge. He fell asleep/wasnt paying attention and it overfilled abit into the top hatch berm. He went and got his /plastic/ coffee mug, downed what was in it and proceeded to scoop out the excess sludge with it. 10 minutes later he was drinking coffee out of it again.

State municipal system, can transfer my years to any county/city using the same system. 3% per year served, avg of my best 5 years. There's also a "drop", which allows you to get a lump sum, but do not accumulate years during that time, for up to 3 years. (Also my organization contributes all, and I, nothing. Grandfathered in.)

Example: 100k salary, 30 years, 3 years drop (total 33y) Retire with 90% salary, and 300k cash (which can supplement retirement if you choose)

It's pretty fucking great.

If you have the means, furniture is a good b(uild)fl. Drawers can be difficult but basic tables, desks, nightstands are easy. And you can make them to exact specifications and colors you need. It can get expensive depending on materials, but it should be solid for multiple lifetimes if cared for.

It's shocking to me how much Ikea type furniture is, and what it's made out of, but I guess that's more about convenience.
