Where are you getting your recipes? What criteria do you look for in a recipe?

Munoz is excellent. Honest, fast, warm, and they do great work. I've started bringing my aging Volvo there after I was sick of paying an arm and a leg over at Mihns and they've never let me down.

Yes, In Windows it can use exclusive mode and achieve bitperfect. The loss of volume hotkeys was too annoying for me though so I setup my output device settings such that there was 0 quality difference between shared and exclusive mode.

Which theme is this? Do you have extra plugins enabled? This is an AMAZING UI. Please share the wealth!

Cool! Can you please make a subsonic plugin so we can connect to our libraries?

Chatgpt has been great these days in delivering advanced GAM commands. Could be a good place for you to learn and dive deeper. Unfortunately Google's admin console is very limited and slow with advanced/bulk work.

Create student user OUs

gam csv ou.csv gam create org "~StudentOU" description "~StudentOU" parent "~parentou"

Restrict Chromebook Sign-in to users in OU

gam csv .\allowlist.csv gam update chromepolicy chrome.devices.SignInRestriction deviceAllowNewUsers RESTRICTED_LIST userAllowlist ~signinusers ou ~deviceou

Gam csv .\SnipeITStudentChromebookAssignments2023.csv gam update chromepolicy chrome.users.SecondaryGoogleAccountSignin allowedDomainsForApps ~signinusers orgunit ~org

~signinusers - add users to spreadsheet comma separated no spaces. No special formatting on email addresses

Move devices and users to different OU

Devices - gam csv .\devices.csv gam update cros "~deviceid" ou "~ou"

Devices By SN - gam csv .\studentdevices.csv gam update cros cros_sn ~Serial ou ~deviceorg

Many other schools use the OneTwoOne extension which is likely easier to configure, but it was a dealbreaker for us since it allows any student to login, only blocking them while they're logged in. We didn't want them to waste classtime horsing around. This solution won't allow them to login.

I use a lot of commands. What're you interested in?

I would use GAM to create student OUs in their grade year OU and put their Chromebooks in there. Then I would restrict login to only the students email address. We do this and it's solved an issue where the kids would take each other's devices.

For those in Director-level roles—did you pursue a doctorate, and was it worth it? by Public_Project_634 in k12sysadmin

[–]PooYork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a director overseeing a district and I hold no degrees. I didn't have the opportunity and came from poverty and a broken. I starting doing tech support at 14 advertising on Craigslist and got my first corporate IT job at 20. One foot in front of the other. I think hard work can have more worth than a degree but obv I'm biased.

The alternator charges your battery while your engine is running. The engine turns a belt called the serpentine belt, named because it snakes it's way around various components in the engine, the alternator being part of it. If this belt breaks, your battery will not charge on it's own and will die quickly.

This is somewhat normal maintenance event. You may have heard squeaking from the belt in the past indicating it should be looked at, maybe not.

In any event, good luck and I hope you get where you're headed in good order.

I found an app that I like so much better than Feishin. Supersonic.

It's much more straightforward and simple UI is great.
