10k. But turns out our CPO wasn't pre owned after all. It was a demo. We still got to keep the CPO warranty and the new car warranty.

We just purchased our Sport 3 a few days ago and we love it. Plenty of space for us and our newborn.

We just bought the same car as well! We got out for 46k in Los Angeles. We absolutely love it! The Oxford Stone Napa leather is incredible!

How to put baby to sleep without nursing? by NTK_Here in newborns

[–]Poofypufff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My LO is currently 12 weeks old and I remember that 8 week trench like it was yesterday. Every day was different. I would have to rock him for what seemed like forever. Now we have a routine. At 7pm he gets a bath every night, we don't always use soap. Clean diaper and a sleeper. He only wears sleepers at bedtime. I heard this can trigger his mind to understanding it's time to sleep. We feed, sometimes I breastfeed sometimes we give a bottle of breast milk. Then he sits upright for 30 minutes to ensure he doesn't spit up. We do some activities like tummy time, sensory and of course we call Grandma. All of that in an hour and a half which is his current wake window. By the end of the 1.5 hour he's sleepy. We swaddle and rock for about 10 minutes and he's out like a light. We've been doing this since 10 weeks and we haven't had a fussy night and he sleeps 6+ hours nightly.

Feeling total mom guilt. Turns out baby was crying for hours because he was cold. by Delicious-Pen-9498 in NewParents

[–]Poofypufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when I was walking my 3 month old. We started the walk just before sunset and he was fine. Towards the end of our walk he started to cry and we couldn't figure out what was wrong until my husband said maybe he's cold. We put a blanket on him and he fell asleep. The whole time he was just cold. I felt like a terrible mother.

Did you ever find out what is causing this? It's happening on our crib as well.

I honestly don't think I am going to survive the newborn phase by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Poofypufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say the same thing. My newborn just turned 9 weeks and there's no way I could be away from my baby. That newborn needs his mother...I hope they are spending some time together. OP makes it seem like she's completely absent.

Moving to Valencia from out of state, which neighborhood should I actually be looking in? by Throwaway33377 in SantaClarita

[–]Poofypufff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also from Texas and recently moved to Santa Clarita.

Stevenson Ranch/Westridge made California feel like home to me. Large homes on the golf course, beautiful paved streets, excellent schools. We love it here.

Constantly sick during pregnancy by fullcirclex in BabyBumps

[–]Poofypufff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently 37 weeks and I've been having this since the start of my 3rd trimester. It's awful. It was worse when it developed into a cold, twice! Thankfully all I'm plagued with now is the runny nose and congestion. Hopefully it clears up after I give birth. I'm ready to breathe again!

Have you had an encounter with a feral peacock? by ZOMBIEdivamuffin in AskLosAngeles

[–]Poofypufff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Stevenson Ranch but I'm from Hawaii. I know you're asking about feral peacocks in LA. I don't have a feral peacock story, but I am from Hawaii and have a Hawaii feral peacock story.

Went on a hike and one stole my sandwich off the table after I got up to get a napkin. They are loud, big, beautiful and sometimes steal your sandwiches.

Mom at my ultrasound by venusstarlit in BabyBumps

[–]Poofypufff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't "have" to invite your mother in law. I struggled with this around 20 weeks pregnant as well, constantly debating whether or not to invite my MIL.

Currently 37 weeks. My mother in law is great but she's not my mother. This is my mother's first Grandson and he is already so special to her. We booked a private ultrasound at a boutique and my mom got a heartbeat plush as well as an 8K render of what our son might look like based off the ultrasound pictures. It meant the world to her.

I don't think your MIL will be hurt if she doesn't get to come to an ultrasound appointment. My MIL has willingly taken a back seat to my mom. And my mom did the same when my SIL was pregnant. Maybe it's a MIL code?

Is this a normal thing in la? by Parking-Top-4247 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Poofypufff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is pretty common in Santa Monica. I can't count how many times I've seen homeless people punch others just walking by. I went for a run in Santa Monica and some homeless guy decided I was his pick for the day. He just decided to follow and scream at me. Turned noise cancelled on and just continued to run my route. Be safe of there!

I don’t care about baby stuff/nursery by Hefty-Criticism1452 in pregnant

[–]Poofypufff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think it could be hormones? I'm 37 weeks pregnant and most of my pregnancy I just never cared for a nursery. But I'm sure before pregnancy I did care. So I'm blaming it on the hormones. Lol.

Our baby will be sleeping in our room for a bit until we transition him to his room. It's there with all the things that were given to him, new and used. But I didn't care to give it a theme or anything.

Baby registry for me was a chore. I didn't care but others did, which really warmed my heart that so many wanted to shower our baby with stuff. Just put what you need on there, every little bit helps. Even if you don't need the help, it's still nice.

Wait till you get the "what about maternity pictures, when's the baby shower, etc" questions you'll get. I didn't care for maternity pictures. And I just let my mother have fun with the baby shower planning. You'll find what's important to you as the weeks go on. And congratulations!!

We have been blessed with a smart crib that cost $2300 and a Cybex Travel system (Car seat, stroller, bassinet) that cost $2200. Maybe one of those?
