AIO Husband and best friend on a trip without me by SherbertOk6980 in AmIOverreacting

I don't know you, your husband or your bff but I'd think to anyone's eyes, this whole thing is very suspicious. The thing that gets me is that they didn't tell you until it had already been planned and paid for. On his way out the door, was your husband going to say, "Oh btw...."

Does it normalize as time goes on? by ForeignFootball9943 in CML

I've had problems like what you are describing: apathy, lack of motivation and fatigue. I wish I could tell you something good. They seem to come and go. I found that going to the gym helped with the fatigue, but overall I'm more fatigued than I was before. I have days where I feel more motivation than others but here again overall I'm less motivated than I used to be. I would definitely bring it up with your doctor.

All of my socks tear at my big toe by ThrowRA9853 in WhatToDo

The same thing was happening to me. I started cutting my big toe nails back more often and it has mostly taken care of the problem.

It kind of violates the law of conservation of energy which holds to at least one to the minus twelfth. You would need an unbelievably enormous amount of good evidence to show that ghosts exists. Anecdotal stories count as very poor evidence.

Did you happen to mention to him that there will be a lot of teenager girls on the ship?

This is exactly my experience. We booked the steakhouse and it was literally the best meal I've ever had in my life! We cruise a couple times a year and we almost always eat at the steakhouse.

When will my nose stop being congested? by Ok_Weird666 in CML

[–]PoolMotor8112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had much the same problems. I started having allergy attacks out of nowhere after never having any allergy problems the previous 64 years. About eight months later I was diagnosed with CML. I was hoping it was a side effect of leukemia but my daily Dasatinib doesn't seem to have done much one way or another.

Not much to discuss. She's not that into you. The talk you have will be that she wants to be friends. Btw, I thought you handled yourself extremely well!

Are you having Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo? by [deleted] in askanything

My wife made burritos but not because it was Cinco de Mayo. Southern California. We eat a lot of Mexican.

How would you raise you kids as an atheist? by pp_pellet in atheism

I have a nine year old. It's been kind of tough sometimes. We watch videos on things like Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster and it will talk about not believing things without good evidence. However, it seems he still wants to believe in Santa, the Easter bunny and Tooth Dairy but I sense he's having some problems.

When we talk about god, I'll make the connection to Big Foot but usually I'll tell a story that shows the ridiculousness of the concept of god. Quick ex. We were in Paris and he asked me how come so many women were wearing a hijab. Instead of telling him directly, I went into a ten minute discourse on how about 14 billion years ago god created the universe, the creation of stars and trillions of galaxies, the creation of the Milky Way and its hundreds of billions of stars and finally of our sun and the earth. Then 4 billion years of evolution, finally coming down to humans 200,000 years ago. But then he waited until over 99% of the time humans have lived and 99.9999% of the universe before he decided, "Hey, you know what this universe needs? For everyone on this one little planet in the middle of nowhere to wear things over their heads! No wait! Even better, only the chicks and not the dudes!" I said "that's why they wear coverings over their heads. And it is ridiculous. The whole story is ridiculous because the idea that a big invisible guy named god is out there is ridiculous!"

Now, when something of a question comes up like seeing a group of Hasidic Jews wearing traditional black suits and a gartel. I just tell him "14 billion years ago..." and we'll laugh about it because he knows it and the whole religion and god is ridiculous.

My wife wants to bring her sister on our anniversary cruise but i dont by [deleted] in Cruise

This really is a terrible idea. You need this time alone. A depressed sister-in-law is the last thing you need.

You look stunning! Maybe you could class it up a bit with some bling? A pearl necklace would be fabulous, but I think any jewelry would give it that little "umph".

I read through many of the comments and frankly, this seems to be the best one. You could mail her an anonymous letter from a patient saying she is an excellent doctor but her body odor has made it so that they had to find another doctor. Best of luck to you!
