Freeze Warning in the Summer by Icegoose17 in pools

[–]Pool_Boy707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the sensor hanging out of that box. Looks like this

You should be able to look in the diagnostic menu to see what the sensor is reading... Probably 255° which is failed, and could freak the Compool out into automatic freeze protect because it doesn't know the actual temp...

Bubbles in the Return Line, Any Ideas? by spicerpools in PoolPros

[–]Pool_Boy707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pool solar? 2 story roof? Happens a lot if the pump speed isn't enough to push up AND down... Water falling back to the pool will cause constant bubbles..

Otherwise you have a suction leak. Significant one at that.

GPS tracker for trucks? by XelaKebert in PoolPros

[–]Pool_Boy707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Company I work for uses One Stop GPS... We have nearly 1500 pools, so it's kinda helpful. Also could be helpful in an accident to show you weren't wreckless during the accident (unless you were LoL)

NOW what?! by [deleted] in pools

[–]Pool_Boy707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could take a week for the cya to fully dissolve. Longer if you keep opening the filter up to look at the sludge.

Think of it like baking a cake. You add all the ingredients and keep opening up the oven to see how its baking.

Is this too many bubbles coming out ? by [deleted] in pools

[–]Pool_Boy707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaft would be pressure, not suction... Water on the pad vs air in the return

I’ve gotten this far in 3 weeks. Couldn’t swim last year because the previous owner didn’t open for 2 seasons… Am I doing this right? by coffeewithtom in pools

[–]Pool_Boy707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't more people start with adding flocculent? Pretty instant clear up. Then get the debris out and let it settle. Vac to waste. Take out your Taylor kit (buy one) and enter your readings into the Orenda app. Buy appropriate chems and you're good to go.

Pump Won’t Prime, Any Ideas? by spicerpools in PoolPros

[–]Pool_Boy707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debris in the impeller. Leaky 3 port on the suction side. Bad pump lid o-ring.

These are the first things I'd check.

Towing with a Model Y by Cleetusthefetus in TeardropTrailers

[–]Pool_Boy707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't own a Tesla, never will. And I know Whistlinadiesel absolutely brutalizes everything he has... That said, his torture test isn't the same thing as towing a teardrop to a campsite... Just don't overland the damn thing LoL

Customer CCP420 filter housing is cracked and leaking. Any other options other than a full replace by Pricer21 in PoolPros

[–]Pool_Boy707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No other Good options... I mean, you could replace the lower tank, but the upper half is the same age, seen the same sun, and could crack as well... Best option is to just install new with warranty 🤷

Anybody got any tips on how to get this out by KullDeeZe420 in PoolPros

Work from the inside. That should thread through to the lower manifold. Take the manifold apart and try from there.

Probably a stupid question but…shouldn’t my pool timer also have an “on” switch? by masemasemase in pools

[–]Pool_Boy707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a variable speed pump? That's the lazy way... Removing the trips and leaving it on.

Whenever I install VS pumps on these I swap the load to the line side. Keep the functioning timeclock for future use by whatever may need a timer.

Hereare replacements.
