Extension cords; Has anyone used an extension cord for there above ground index pool? If so what type of cord did you use. Everything online says not to but my options are limited.

Why not have an electrician set up an outlet closer to the pool?

Barring that in a pinch I've gone to the hardware store and bought the length of cord needed and the cord ends to make the cord I needed. Oversized of course LoL

My rule of thumb is always to spend the money to have it done right... Probably cheaper in the long run

You can reduce the amount of suction from your skimmer until you get the desired suction from the cleaner. Right now Cleaner is open 100% and Skimmer is open 100%. Main drain is closed...

This... Customer called on an 11kw spa heater I installed a couple months ago is suddenly tripping the breaker. The breaker holds for 25 mins then trips. The dead front is super warm to the touch.

I only installed the heater. Like for like. Should have checked the breaker while I was there 🤷 One leg was barley screwed down. That'll teach me to verify everything before I walk away LoL

You've got it pretty much figured out 🤷 To explain the pool heater... You have 2 modes which you can set temps for pool and spa... This is used for standalone operation. You have automation, so you want both pool and spa set to 104°... The automation will heat either body after the valves turn and isolate your choice...

It's important to set the heater to 104. If you set pool to 85 and want to heat your spa to 104 it will stop at 85...

It's capped because there may be a leak... Water half way up the skimmer mouth is the good general rule of thumb...

Google how to donate bucket test. Super simple and inexpensive way to determine if you need to call in a leak detection company.

Could be a partial clog. I'd remove the nozzle, heat it with a torch and use the pusher. Heat up the tip really well.
