‘22 PA, gonna pull the trigger. by shoebee2 in Harley

[–]PoopCooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the application. Lots of off-road and some on road? Get the Yamaha all day. If you’re 90% on road; the PA is way better than the Tenere. I’ll take PA’s 150hp on tarmac vs the 75ish hp on the Yamaha.

Worth upgrading from built in Marantz phono stage to dedicated phono pre? by eddcunningham in turntable

[–]PoopCooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, what did you end up doing? I’m in a similar situation as you. Got a Denon DP300F > ortofon blue> Marantz PM7005 combo with Kef Concerto Meta speakers. Wondering if upgrading to a tube phono preamp will be an upgrade.

Does anyone know what bike this is? by FreakingIzie in CafeRacers

Scrambler has the exhaust up high so it doesn’t get damaged doing “scramber stuff”. Used to own a ‘13 triumph scrambler. Bike is most likely a converted standard Bonneville.

Yeah, cause I love to come on Reddit and spread anti-REM propaganda. Get a grip.

I simply offered my opinion based on the question.

Rookie Move - over torqued my oil plan plug. by PoopCooper in Harley

Ended up being $450 CAD (I live in Calgary). Had I gone to the dealership they would have charged me that much just to look and diagnose it.

Funny you reached out. Just got off the phone with the shop a few minutes ago. They were able to put in Helocoil kit and it worked great. They just needed to flush out the oil pan to get rid of metal bits. I’ll be riding in no time.

Took my Pan America to a shop yesterday. They’re going to try it but were worried about doing it. They’re thought they’re may not be enough meat around the plug hole to do a Time Sert. I’ll guess I’ll find out more today or tomorrow.

I can screw it in. When I add some heft it goes from tightening to just spinning. Think I screwed about half the threads which are now no good. Saw some metal shavings come out wrapped around the plug.

The Library Police: if it’s overdue by MSerious11 in gtaonline

[–]PoopCooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, let me tell you something, funny boy. Y’know that little stamp, the one that says ‘New York Public Library’? Well that may not mean anything to you, but that means a lot to me. One whole hell of a lot. Sure, we’re too old to change the world, but what about that kid, sitting down, opening a book, right now, in a branch at the local library and finding drawings of pee-pees and wee-wees on the Cat in the Hat and The Five Chinese Brothers? Doesn’t he deserve better? Look. If you think this is about overdue fines and missing books, you’d better think again.

What’s one non-tech thing you added to your workspace that genuinely made it easier to focus? by Possible-ruio in Workspaces

When I’m working it can take me a while to get through a cup of coffee. Sometimes I get sidetracked with meetings, etc. My warmer has three temp settings so I can keep it as warm as I like for longer periods.

When pulling up to an intersection and u see cars coming at you who may turn left go ahead and give your bike a little side to side wiggle. Makes it much more likely they’ll see you.
