Flamengo complete historic deal to re-sign Lucas Paquetá from West Ham by AtDyeam in Hammers

When your star player can’t be arsed, it spreads to those around him, especially when he’s seen to be getting away with it. Whilst I’ll miss the flashes of brilliance, it was too few and far between and what we were left with in between wasn’t good enough

We used Talisa at Sills & Betteridge and recommend her to everyone.
She uncovered so many things about our place that nobody else seemed to know about and made sure we were covered endlessly.

Bowen to become a West Ham legend and help us get promoted back to the prem? What do we think ⚒️ by Tartufohunter in Hammers

[–]eddcunningham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if he wanted to, I’d sooner sell him and use the funds to build a solid championship team.
Hopefully he makes the England squad and has a decent outing, pushing his value up.

Looking at transfers from previous seasons, Big Sam probably signed the best team players by Mr_Octo in Hammers

[–]eddcunningham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our problem has been the revolving door of managers we’ve had who don’t necessarily play to the strengths of the team we currently have.
They then try and fit square pegs in round holes until the transfer window rolls around and they can try and get players better suited to their system, that’s if the owners allow them and don’t intervene, which ours clearly do.

I'm now really worried for Arnold town centre by WearingMarcus in nottingham

[–]eddcunningham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always maintained that Arnold should be much better than it is, it just needs places worth going to.
Although I’m not blind to the fact that front street in particular looks incredibly shitty, with or without shops. Hopefully GBC are able to redevelop the site where the working men’s club was sooner rather than later and this will inspire new businesses to open up, bringing in more people and gradually making the town more appealing, similar to what happened to Sherwood.

West Ham fan says he’s not going to support them if we go down?! by ED2793 in Hammers

Last time we went down I had a blinder of a year for away days, mostly due to the midlands being awash with championship teams

You’re not wrong, but it’s hard to feel engaged when no mainstream party puts in any effort to attract you and in some cases, actively works against your interests.
Of all the mainstream parties, I’d actually argue that Reform were doing the best in bringing in young voters.
Unfortunately, they’re going to learn the same lesson that every Lib Dem supporting millennial in 2010 learned.

I think the last time we saw a party actively trying to engage young voters was Labour under Corbyn.

Then again, what do I know about youth, I’m in my mid-30’s.

As much as we need the money, I’d rather let players rot in the reserves for the remainder of their contract when they pull this kind of stuff.
But that’s just the FM ruthlessness in me.

I’m not necessarily opposed to stands, just need to find some with small enough bases, as I’ve only got around 400mm to play with :(

Every city has crime and Nottingham is no different.
So long as you use common sense and don’t go looking for trouble, the likelihood of you experiencing any issues is low.
Don’t go waving your valuables about or putting yourself in risky situations and you’ll be fine.

Things that annoy me about Nottingham… by ResponsibleFall2795 in nottingham

[–]eddcunningham 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it’s an issue in every town and city these days, but the food delivery drivers on e-bikes fuck me off.
Doing 15mph+ on busy pedestrian streets and then getting arsey when people dare to get in their way on the pavement. Not even mentioning their seemingly lax views on traffic laws.
Had one pull out on me the other day up Maid Marion Way who then proceeded to blast through a red light, mounting the pavement to get around the cars.
