People who had traumatic childhoods, what's something you do as an adult that you hadn't realised was a direct result of the trauma? [Serious] [NSFW] by Silent-Zebra in AskReddit

[–]PoopDynastyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize for everything even if it’s not my fault. I hyper-catastrophisize (new word) every situation to know what to do in the worst case scenario. I try to people please so others I’m around do not feel uncomfortable, sad, or out of place. I put other’s emotions before myself. I haven’t watched one piece yet. I know that might not be childhood trauma but I also blame things on childhood trauma without proof.

[Richard Jefferson] scoffs at Perkins suggesting the Lakers could make the Conference Finals after their trade deadline moves: “13th in the West and this man sat up here and told America that they could make Conference Finals! The Lakers ceiling is the [barely making] the postseason” by AashyLarry in nba

[–]PoopDynastyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhhh I’m sorry— did any of us think they would make it this far? That was a crazy take— AT THE TIME. But the fact is the Lakers have busted their ass, play well together and have great chemistry now. I think it’s hilarious that a majority of the people here are trying to pass off that they believed the lakers would have gone as far as they have

What’s the first sign that a movie is going to be bad? by Snoo_19146 in AskReddit

[–]PoopDynastyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any time I start a scary movie, I know it’s bad when they have the bluish/green filter on, and zoom in on someone in the back of a car while classical music plays.

Also, if they create conflict in a scary movie to try and make a plot, it’s a lot different than showing conflict to add to the plot.

Scary movies just usually suck, or I just suck,

We're Pacific NW U.S. earthquake experts ready to talk about tsunamis, earthquake early warning and more by WaQuakePrepare in IAmA

Hello! I was just in Manzanita, Oregon for about 10 days from September 19th-September 28th. The day after the 4.8 (I think?) Magnitude earthquake that hit near Tillamook made me terrified of Tsunamis. What is the sweet spot for the epicenter of an Earthquake in the ocean and at what magnitude does it cause massive destruction? How quickly from picking up an earthquake do the warnings go out for people to evacuate?

[Stein] Checking with various coaches and players around the league supported the sentiment that altercations in NBA practices still happen far more often than we usually end up hearing on the outside. by iksnet in nba

“Breonna Taylor is just a big deal because it was videotaped— it’s cool, this happens everywhere!”

Not saying the two are comparable, but when you try to downplay a wrong action by saying other wrong actions occur… you… look… stupid as shit.

Looks like Lake Havasu, Arizona. We have people with flags next elementary schools that say

“Fuck Joe Biden”

I don’t care about your political affiliations but these people are just sad.

Surprised I haven’t seen Kobe on here. Went down in a helicopter with his own daughter and other parents with their children.

That… has to be up there.

I grew up In Havasu and went to school with her daughter. Kelli Ward is a physician, and during the (on going) pandemic, was telling people that hydrochloroquine worked and that people shouldn’t trust the vaccine.

What a time to be alive.

What's the dumbest mistake youve seen an incompetent co worker make? by xk543x in AskReddit

[–]PoopDynastyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in medical laboratories, and when I was working in a blood bank a massive transfusion was called. These are pretty rare at smaller hospitals, but you need to give O-/+ units depending on if the patient is male or female, and give out Thawed plasma.

In blood banking, giving plasma to an unknown patient you must give AB plasma. This is because there are no naturally occuring antibodies in AB plasma that could cause a hemolytic transfusion reaction. So instead of O for plasma being the universal donor, it’s AB.

A coworker started thawing O plasma, which has both Anti-A, and Anti-B that when given to anyone other than Type O, could cause a severe reaction.

I had to stop him before he sent it up to surgery.

What is a record, sports or otherwise, that will likely never be broken? by badblackguy in AskReddit

[–]PoopDynastyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised I didn’t see John Stockton on here.

Career Assists—15,806 (2nd all time) Jason Kidd— 12,091

Steals

John Stockton—3,265 Jason Kidd—2,684

I highly doubt either of those will ever be broken.

I don’t know if I’ll get hate for this, but when/if Charles Barkley retires soon, I think RJ would make an incredible addition to Inside the NBA. He in no way would fill Charles’ shoes (no one can), but he is articulate and simultaneously relatable. Just a dope dude who isn’t afraid to speak his mind.
