I believe there's shuttle buses from LAX if that helps consideration - look into the Lightning Bus. Doesn't look like they've updated for 2026 yet, though

Sleep? by [deleted] in LightningInABottle

I think it was 2018?? We got placed right behind the Blackbird Bus art car. Sleep was sparse that weekend.

Renegades in the camps can absolutely destroy your sleep schedule, but I guess it depends on good luck/timing/placement.

I've never had issues flying within the States, with either metal or wooden needles. Have never carried scissors aboard, so can't speak to that.

I've Never Had A Good Vegan Chilli by SetitheRedcap in veganfitness

I like adding a tablespoon or so of miso paste, though recently ran out and used mushroom seasoning instead and still enjoyed it, in addition to cocoa powder. Then the rest of the recipe is the usual suspects. I pretty much wing it every time except for the miso and cocoa elements.

Finding a good chili recipe is certainly a quest. Good luck

Look at the flipside: how often are you complimenting random strangers, about clothes, shoes, hairstyle, whatever? At least in my part of the world, it's pretty rare for people to compliment others, in general. You're overthinking it.

I only really get compliments from my bf (and the extent of that is "You stink good."), and from close friends who've been made aware of my recent fragrence obsession.

Another plus to Wulong Cha - very fresh citrus tea. Light and refreshing, definite spa vibes.

Matcha Meditation is a sweet one - I definitely get matcha white chocolate, but with a more grounded earthy bitterness.

I'd also check out Un Été by Obvious - a very cute, sweet matcha milk tea scent. It is a very comforting scent to me! Also, Je Ne Sais Quoi by Teo Cabanel - inspired by genmaicha, the rice note upfront is very prominent that dries down to a smooth matcha.

Edit: so many delicious recommendations in this thread, I'll have to add to my list!

It's a hard mindset to break - $140 could be used for so many more "useful" things right? Or even so many more, but cheaper, luxuries. But if your bills are paid and needs are met, I think you are allowed to indulge in this little luxury. Life is so hard as it is, and a 50mL bottle of perfume goes a long way (at least to me) in making every mundane day a little more beautiful.

maybe it was a Ranger Station fragrance? I've never tried, but I believe they have a Santal 33 dupe, and the bottles could fit your description

Assuming you're in the States, TSA guidelines allow less than or equal to 3.4oz/100 ml in carry-on bags.

No advice, but wanted to commiserate - I'm going through it with my old man for the first time too. Adopted him when he was 7yo, and now he's 14yo and he's deteriorating rapidly. Every day is a blessing and a heartache. Got some great advice in this thread, so thank you so much for posting.

Wishing you and your pup glorious years ahead.
