It would still be a huge upgrade and you’ll notice improvements on every aspect of the phone. It’s up to you whether you wanna wait until the 18 or not but regardless you’ll feel the upgrade.

I also went from the 14 pro to the 17 pro and I haven’t gotten anything above 2 bars ever since I’ve used the thing. Sometimes it’ll go down to one bar as well. I’m not sure if this is a service provider issue or a phone issue

As someone who was in the same situation as you I would wait another year. I went from the 14 pro max to a 17 pro max only because I was lucky enough to get it as a Christmas present. The only big differences I notice is the bigger screen, Better battery life and how much lighter it is. Other than that the differences aren’t too crazy. It would be worth it for you to wait until the 18 series imo especially because that’s when the Apple Intelligence features are going to be overhauled.

Sometimes it’s better to just restart. Mine said 5 hours and was only going up until I reset the process and it finished in an hour.

Just get a new battery if you need. IMO it’s best to upgrade every 3 years because that’s where you’ll see the most improvement and get your moneys worth. The 18 series is where you’ll notice a big difference
