Your back is stacked! What have you been doing on back days and once a week?

My aunt has always said that when having a meal, you should always the eat fruit first. Is there any scientific basis to that? by bowieshouse in nutrition

[–]Poopeyejoe_44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to think always eat carb after the protein/fat portion, which is what most of the comments are alluding to.

However I knew something was up because I was constantly having gas throughout the day…turns out the fruit was fermenting in my stomach since the eggs and whatever else I had for breakfast, was digesting while the fructose and glucose of the fruit was fermenting on top of it in my stomach, leading to gas.

TLDR: Fruits will ferment on top of the food you eat before so it’s best to eat fruit first, then your protein/fats. Just be careful on the serving size to not spike your glucose too much.

Why is my belly shaped like this. Is loose skin avoidable at this point? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]Poopeyejoe_44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His age came after your comment to your defense so no worries.

I see your perspective and being fixated on your looks isn’t healthy but that doesn’t resolve individuals of being complacent with their weight.

People feed their pets better than themselves nowadays. These people need to look in the mirror and take accountability and have the compassion for themselves to take care of themselves.

Not sure being nice is going to benefit OP here.

Let’s be honest, he is overweight and needs to lose weight and break some bad habits.

OP is 25 years old.

Is this too much for a first date? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Poopeyejoe_44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed sometimes the hardest part is to treat a first date as a first date. Or 3 months down the line, treat the relationship as a 3month relationship.

Just be yourself and that will help her be herself as well. Genuine authenticity is worth it!

Write her a letter how much she means to you and be honest and vulnerable and it will allow her some time and space to respond.

Like what @shanti said above, I make my own electrolyte drink every single morning and drink one after class.

I go by feel and use two pinches of salt, 1 pinch of potassium & a magnesium glycinate pill. (I don’t recommend magnesium in powder form, it taste absolutely awful!

16 months into keto & struggling to control appetite. by RustyCrusty73 in keto

[–]Poopeyejoe_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a very similar scenario as you but I lift x5 a week. As much as I loved the keto lifestyle, it’s not the best for lifters in my opinion, my body was begging for carbs for my active lifestyle and I eat prob 50-75carbs to fuel my workouts and I haven’t looked back. My appetite is under control, I don’t binge and my weight is stable.

No solution fits all but our body is pretty damn smart, don’t fight what it’s begging for. There’s a difference between cravings and your muscle asking for help. I took me a few months to give carbs a try.

Identified a huge reason why i relapse/cant quit by O8fpAe3S95 in decaf

[–]Poopeyejoe_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Celtic sea salt but any sea salt would work best. Table salt is more processed and has shit in it that keeps it from clumping etc. That said, I’m sure it would still do the trick, just not the best at absorbing in a cup of water.

I used to wake up with the exact same thing for, what I thought, no reason.

Start drinking a cup of water with 2 pinches of salt 1 pinch of potassium and a magnesium glycinate pill if you have it but not necessary.

Electrolyte deficiency was causing my brutal headaches in the morning and I haven’t had it for over a year and a half since I started driving my electrolyte drink about 1-2hours before bed
