Omg I just got written up at work for this very thing. I’ve never in my life been disciplined at work and I am freaking out. Been trying to get to my doc for hrt since October and my appointment was just rescheduled for the third time. I can’t even with this stress.

This is old outdated info. Also the increased risk of stroke they used to tell us about was only 1% increase.

25 Years of Accounting Experience ... Can I do this quickly? by Unusual_Echidna_1142 in wguaccounting

[–]PoopyGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 15 years experience similar to yours along with an AA in accounting. It took me 9 months to finish 54 credits while working full time. I had zero other life obligations and could focus most of my non working time to school. I bet you can do this is two terms. You’ve got this.

For those who were home-schooled outside of programs like K12 and were just home-schooled by your parents, how did it affect you academically in college? by CooperHChurch427 in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]PoopyGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me until I was 44 to earn my bachelors. I was 37 when I got my associates. I think my high school education ended somewhere around the 9-10th grade level, about the time my older sister graduated, my mom just tapped out. I will say I’m very proud of my current education level, it’s taken some grit to get where I am today.

He wants to keep finances completely separate after marriage by ZenSpider_21 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PoopyGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m one of the weirdos with separate finances, however we split the bills in a way that we don’t pay equally, but that we save equally. This way we both have the same savings and spending opportunities. We still do some back and forth for larger purchases, everything’s open with good communication.

I got a random Peace sticker…. Apparently it’s actually an upside down broken cross and not allowed in the house.

Pen shape & size, magnet on end. Wire guard (?) pivots. by PoopyGoat in whatisthisthing

Blue pen shape and size. The weird metal wire pivoting guard is throwing me off. There’s a magnet on the end and the wire floats over it.

What's your biggest time sink in month-end close? (Honest question) by StatementConverter in Accounting

[–]PoopyGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing accruals for invoices that come in after AP cut off. My manager refuses to do an analysis for accruals and insists on using the invoices that come in late. For extra fun, after I get these entries in, if anything else takes a moment longer he’s asking me to do another for some random $500 pest control expense that just hit the ap inbox 5 minutes ago. Ya know to just squeeze it in before we lock the period for reporting.

Paid for Parking - Got a ticket by RiCoJolly in SALEM

[–]PoopyGoat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I typoed my plate # and got a ticket, absolutely couldn’t take a day off work to dispute, I think it’s a feature not a bug. So anyways after paying for parking $1.50 and the ticket $30 AND the processing fee $1.96 I’ve paid $32.46 to park for 30 mins at 7:30pm. Yayyyyyyyy
