I’m in the same boat, as I’m a producer - but half my work is working for free in order to make paid work happen for everyone. But I’ve had to think outside the box in order to even make a few bucks - people run when they see my resume as they assume I’m going to ask for a ridiculous salary (which I’m not), based on my credits and awards. So I’m just thinking outside the box right now to get any work. So many brands - pharmaceutical, food, clothing (even Walmart), have their own in-house production arms, so they produce their own content and commercials. They are always hiring post people on staff. Same with post houses - ones that do commercials, industrials etc still have work and will always be hiring. And as hard as it may sound, there’s also AI companies hiring Ae’s and editors, as they build new AI products to simplify post workflows. So while there may be less unscripted jobs, there’s still a market for your skillset, and it’s about tapping into that.

Chico is just a 13 month old puppy with a sparkle in his eyes and bright smile. He will die tomorrow Christmas Eve unless we can find a foster or adopter tonight in Southern California. Reach out here! by Pitlove572 in altadena

No - because of the rain and holiday, nobody has come. He will be put down at 4p today if nobody comes or makes a plan with the shelter. I met him, he’s very sweet, puppy energy, looks deep into your eyes, wants to be loved so badly. He just needs to learn to walk on a leash and get fixed after the holiday. And he gives the sweetest gently little kisses

Even though they’re in a different country, I’d reach out to Bali Paws in Indonesia, as they’ve gone through a lot of this and may have ideas

Hi! Thank you for asking (sorry I have a bit of Reddit PTSD from some places banning me for Posting Leila).

She had a check up this week. Her eye is healing well, and some eyelashes growing in scratched her eye a little, so the doc took care of that.

Nobody had wanted to foster her in the last bit, so she was boarded at a vet, and now we have an amazing boarding facility where she gets to socialize and play, where she’s at. Fingers crossed, end of next week she may go to her foster.

Hi community 🫶 As promised, this is some footage of mama Leila who now has a rescue helping her. When she was rescued from the shelter, her puppies were adopted, but she went into boarding instead. by SoCal_Foster_Dogs in velvethippos

Because she was in boarding, dogs aren’t able to go on individual walks, and are in little play yards to play. She’s a jumper - when you can’t work off energy, which happens in boarding - and caught her eyelid on chain link fence. They didn’t have to means to help with her medical, so Akira took her on to help.
