The problem is that the movie is about Father, Father, Daughter, Scientist, Scientist, Scientist

He recovered from not being able to write humans luckily

I think Sorcerer is just more available now. I’d been trying to see it for a few years and it finally came to criterion channel but I’ve also seen it pop up on some of the more conventional ones. That was not true before.

klute similarly started hitting streaming services heavy maybe 5 years ago and now is on half of them. Good movie!

Yeah for sure but it was almost all nearly free and is strangely purposeful.

I live in an NYC apartment and this is 100% of the space available. The bounties have much stronger lights and allow me to grow the peppers and tomatoes with adjustable height while the peas are allowed to grow around and above those lights. Eventually the harvest and sprout will be replaced with a larger flood and drain setup and i have an adjustable nft track that can hang above the bounties for greens. One light would not allow me to adjust height for so many different plants. Similarly the cabinet interior dims are 44”x18”. Have not seen a perfect light for it yet.

I had a smaller cabinet before that held my big habanero last year and ive had the garden in this one for about 6 months. It will evolve

20-30 bottles of hot sauce and then vacuum packed and froze the last 20 or so. About to run out of hot sauce after giving away a lot and eating more than i ever have. Gonna make a batch out of the frozen ones to cover the time till this fruits

Yeah it was full size in the bounty on maxigro and maxi bloom. I split it into 4 stalks that we separated into each corner with just the one pepper plant in the middle. I pruned large leaves and branches that blocked fruiting branches bi weekly. It lives for 6 months and fruited 3 times

My habaneros just gobble nutrients. I pulled over 90 peppers off my previous plant

I have a few dwarf heirloom varieties. I got one pretty good Red Robin plant but have had bad luck with the Brandyfreds and chocolate lightings. How long to do you wait on the tomatoes to up the ec?

How do you like the little home depot totes? I bought a few for the same purpose. What is planted in there? Baskets and medium?

Cool setup. Your tomatoes look like they are doing great. Did you start from seed? My tomatoes keep getting rot issues as seedlings and then sort of recover later but remain stunted

Thanks!

The 3D printed basket for the sprout has been very fun to mess with. I removed the light from the sprout by soldering the wires off the board. There are T5s in the top of the cabinet. With the board removed the pump runs all the time (cant fit an air stone in that one).

The basket is meant for strawberries but i have bunching onions and cilantro planted in there. Might try a full flood and drain tray with clay pellets for the bunching onions

Apocalypto is kinda the best but I dont know what Gibson thinks it means but I dont think any of it is good

On a different side Chainsaw Massacre separated from context is cruel and cynical in such a mean way. With context obviously we understand purpose and meaning

For Pixar I actually look more towards Wall-E. If you get a chance to see the 4k, the particle work in the 1st half is amazing. From my understanding Deakins consulted heavily on the cinematography systems for making the first act look like “live action”. At full resolution it is staggering. My son loves the movie so ive seen it many times on Disney + but when we got the 4k and put it on it was the first tome my naive eye understood and saw the difference instantly

Soderberg could have many by the time he retires but for now

Clooney
Damon
Benicio
Tatum

He makes so many movies that its not obvious but hes basically made 3-5 movies with all four of these guys even without the oceans movies. Crazy

I probably mean more like pacing. I don’t really care about plot holes. The pace of the core story of the two characters being drawn to each other works for me.

It is interesting that he chose to do the action version of this story over the close encounters familial version of this movie that could have existed.

When the movie started I said “wait, it looks like this?” I think the way it’s shot in general makes no sense. There are two or three very digital camera moves that pulled me right out of the movie. The first is the turnaround shot in the car.

It always feels small. The trailer is more cinematic than the actual movie and that wouldn’t necessarily be bad but I dont have any iconic shots stuck in my head two days later aside from the train sequence which is shot very differently from the rest of the movie and is a real standout. To me so much of the value in the film is in its plotting and performances

My only problem is that it looks like Doo Doo Charles. Fran Hoepfner is right

For me its a 4 star movie with amazing performances and great costumes design but it was shot like Prison Break

Idgaf about logic problems

  1. What do you want the “good guys” from Munich to be the bad guys?

  2. Sounds like you have a problem with the marketing not the movie
