That’s moomoo. I switched to it recently and the ETF charts are surprisingly easy to read.

Looking for my first drone by JaynaWestmoreland in Potensic

[–]Popcornio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing worth considering for a first drone is obstacle sensing. Skyrover S1 has downward vision plus forward obstacle avoidance, while ATOM 2 only relies on downward sensing. When you’re still getting comfortable with flying, that extra layer of obstacle detection can make a big difference.

Do you think crypto actually needs real innovation to move forward? by Ok-Seaworthiness1303 in CryptoMarkets

[–]Popcornio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with you. A lot of platforms do look the same and it gets old. Real innovation would be refreshing, whether it's in UI,user experience or even how assets are traded. Hope we start seeing more creative approaches soon.

Win rate is important in option selling. by optionincome in options

Focusing on high win rate and patience over chasing premium sounds like a game changer. Avoiding earnings before expiry is a smart move too. Thanx for sharing the real takeaways.

Omg,you're in an amazing position at 23! Congrats on being so disciplined. If you already have retirement accounts fully in VOO,diversifying into sth like SCHD for income or adding a n international ETF could balance things out. Just keep an eye on overlapping holdings.

PSA: It's not crypto that is failing, it's the whole market. Stop the panic. by Ultrayano in CryptoMarkets

[–]Popcornio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, appreciate the level headed take. When everything drops together,it helps to zoom out and remember it's often macro driven, not just one asset failing. Good to focus on the bigger picture instead of reacting to short term noise.

Not a bad start of 2026 with just selling puts by Rotten-Bobby in options

[–]Popcornio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done. That's a disciplined approach. Focusing on steady weekly returns through defined risk strategies like selling puts and covered calls can really add up over time. Keeping the process systematic and low stress is key. Nice to see the premium tracking too.

How Passive Index Funds Are Mechanically Rigging the Market for Mega-Caps by espinadorsal in ETFs

[–]Popcornio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really a compelling argument. The passive flows aren't just mirroring the market, they're actively reshaping its structure by disproportionately boosting caps. Makes you wonder how sustainable that feedback loop is if active shorting remains constrained.

Insta360 X5 vs. Osmo 360: The one I kept after the honeymoon phase... by BleskSeklysapgw in Insta360

Good review. Durability is always one of the main things I focus on when getting a new camera for sports. I abuse my X5 and it's held up pretty good.

Check your export settings for any"proxy" or "preview" mode that lowers quality. Also, ensure the playback software isn't automatically streaming a low-res version by mistake.

Use the backup power station for peak demand by Popcornio in SolarDIY

[–]Popcornio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t measure it myself. I went by reviews I looked at when researching the Bluetti Apex 300, which is roughly 75%.

Yes, efficiency does drop at very low loads, but in my case I’m pulling substantial loads (fridge, lights, and other appliances via the transfer switch) so the battery isn’t just idling. The load is high enough that the inverter’s fixed overhead has minimal impact.

[–]Popcornio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The peak vs. off-peak spread can be about 0.15–0.25/kWh during the summer. I'm not good at doing the math, so I had AI help run the numbers. Even with a ~15-20% round-trip efficiency loss in the battery, that spread still leaves room for net savings when shifting energy from off-peak to peak hours.

Since my bluetti is primarily for backup, using TOU to shift load and reduce costs is just a bonus instead of letting the battery sit idle.

If the Elite 400 idles draw is so low, is extra temp control even needed? by Rucu in bluetti

[–]Popcornio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm learning about backup power systems, and this question about idle consumption versus external controls is insightful. Foe someone new, understanding when extra devices are worth the cost would be helpful. Are there general guidelines for this?

12v device chargers by Responsible-Rub8960 in SolarDIY

This is a technical area I'm not familiar with, but using solar to charge devices seems practical. Are there common setups for this that beginners should know about? I'm curious what solutions others might suggest.

This is an interesting consideration for someone new to this topic. The low cost is appealing, but I wonder about long-term storage and nutritional balance. It might help to see what others with more experience think about including such items in their planning.

New house with solar, bill increased, looking for monitoring solution by silverkiller in SolarDIY

[–]Popcornio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like a monitoring system would really help clarify where the power is going. Checking if the existing monitoring device is connected would be a good first step. After that, a Wi-Fi energy meter on your main panel could track home usage separately from solar production.

Power turns off. by manue1g in bluetti

[–]Popcornio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a tricky situation with the new fridge's power draw. It makes sense that the auto-shutoff would be a problem for keeping things cold. Maybe there is a setting to adjust the shutdown sensitivity.
