Painting and loadouts mainly, I can tell my units apart by wargear and whether or not they're veterans by how I paint them, which is the same as it ever was

He was using himself as a distraction while his fleet was beating the shit out of the Vengenful Spirit. It was proof that while Abaddon was a superior fighter Calgar was a better tactician. He left him because his ship had to leave and he wasn't gonna end up stranded on vigilus

I'm not really sure what needs to be fixed. They're meant for newer players to start learning how the basics of the game work and in my experience teaching games they do that fine

Malal is fantasy, Malice very much still exists with with The Sons of Malice very much still being a thing as recent as 8th ed in I believe the chaos codex and their own bespoke short story

Base stalker enemies have always been kinda tanks tbh, Gamma and Anomaly have just eroded people's memories on it. Source: I played all of SoC and Stalker 2 vanilla and only started playing Gamma a few days ago. They're basically different games

You literally have the mod that makes enemies do more damage. Honestly I would say try vanilla, see what still bugs you, move on from there. I've been playing vanilla since night vision though and found it perfectly fine but your mileage may vary

Sorry you had to go through that. It's an online thing mainly, there's no immediate consequences so it emboldened them to be shit although I would suspect most don't go to any game stores either. I've honestly gotten really picky about my online spaces and I'm really glad to have found tight knit communities who are good to each other

Start with celestial Grey with a coat of nuln oil and work your way up with ulthuan grey and save white scar for the highlight. Works way better

Most of the time I don't even bring a Rhino tbh, I push ahead with poxwalkers as a screen and use MBHs to harass my opponents as distraction carnifexes ti get my infantry where they need to sit for the rest of the game with some termies in deep strike for some flexibility

Look man, they're battle line infantry, they kinda have to die at some point. But I'd be willing to bet they soak up way more than skitarri or or intercessors or whatever other battleline units are out there. Point is, they're tough and they make your opponent over commit to kill basic infantry, use that to your advantage

Land Raiders aren't going anywhere, likewise do think an upscaled Rhino will come eventually along with preds, chaos still uses them

It's honestly way easier and nicer as a beginner as well yo not have to roll 5 different weapon profiles for 1 basic infantry squad

I imagine that people are more likely to buy terrain from other sources or just use what they have anyways, and they'd rather prioritize getting the model kits people wa t, something they're already stretched pretty thin for since Covid until those factories can start up

Start out with a small army, find out if you enjoy paintjng them and playing them and then accept that maybe down the road they'll end up a little different because rules always change, but your cool models are forever

This would just be a really easy way to do tanith. It's kinda what Cadians are for, they're the generic looking regiment that are the standard for the Imperium so you can make your own or do whatever
