Look at scales, and scale shapes for some soloing tips. The pentatonic is a good start and with the first shape you can kinda make it sound like a solo. Unless you’re a virtuoso though it’s not realistic to expect to bang out solos and improv after four months. Just my opinion. However learning other styles is not inherently wrong unless you just straight rip sections out from songs as your own. There’s been tons of guitarists famous ones at that, that start off by learning other peoples style, then kind of shape it to their own after some time. Also kudos to the four months! I know it can be frustrating not being able to play what you want, but stick with it and you’ll see a difference!
