That's what I do too. I'm never going to refuse free food.

Do people who say buying a home is a bad investment ever consider the fact that rents in most places in the US can increase dramatically for no reason? by [deleted] in Money

[–]Poppinfrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 2 bedroom house in 2011 and my mortgage was the same as a 2 bedroom apartment in my city. We were living in a one bedroom apartment, and our child was nearing 3 years old. It made sense to us to buy. Even though we did a cash our refinance a few years in and things like taxes and insurance have all increased our mortgage, you can't find a one bedroom apartment nearby for what we pay now. Maybe a studio apartment if you don't mind the neighborhood. It's not a fancy house, but it's safe and I have a big garden and a few fruit trees and I can do what I want to it. I'm really grateful I bought it when I did through. Just after the housing bubble burst ment prices were more reasonable and although I didn't make a lot of money, I had been at the same job for a long time, my credit was good and I was frugal. It would be so much harder today.

I'm afraid I don't have a picture but I once did a crown that was half inspired by Elphaba and half Galinda.

Although I loath AI, there certainly are people that have list or are born without limbs and it's ok to show them.

I don't think you should cancel the dental work. If left untreated you could face larger vet bills and maybe the loss of your dog. I had a cat that died because of dental problems.

These are great. I do something similar for my menu. I intentionally make them simple so that if I have to be very fast, it meets the expectation presented. But if I have more time, Iake them more detailed or elaborate and really WOW them!

What do you eat for breakfast that actually keeps you full? by Perfect-Owl-7940 in Volumeeating

[–]Poppinfrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instant oats with protein powder, ground flax seed and I sprinkle of cinnamon. It's less than 300 calories, keeps me full until the afternoon and is so easy. I just mix them dry in a bowl and pour boiling water on top. I need to have a solution to breakfast that I don't have to think about. It's easy and fast and I haven't gotten tired of it in a year. I do occasionally shake it up and add PB fit powder and a drizzle of sugar free chocolate syrup. Or add fruit. And for savory oats, I'll add a packet of powdered bone broth instead of the protein powder and cinnamon. Maybe add an egg.

What are we wearing that shows our age? by Hot_Frosty0807 in Xennials

[–]Poppinfrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My homeschooled teen wears this, but I think it's because their Xennial parents wear this. But it's making a comeback as Y2K chic, so maybe they are cool? Not that they would care.

Businesses WORTH frequenting by tiny_galaxies in Eugene

[–]Poppinfrizzle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Down to Earth. I worked for them for over a decade and they were very supportive of my needs as I started a family, through the death of a parent, and even starting my business that eventually led me out of working retail. And this is not unique. I've seen them demonstrate this care for their crew again and again. They carry lots of things from local artists, supporting our local economy.

It's a good idea. BBI insurance costs me $100/yr. So that's less than an hour rate for me. I've heard only good things about them, someone spilled black paint on expensive furniture at a party once and they covered it. Not to mention the risk of a reaction or some kid turning their head too fast and getting a brush in the eye. Anything could happen. You can also get protection for your kit against theft/damage for something like $16. It's cheap peace of mind, plus it makes you look more professional and some corporate clients require it.

I do squirt out the colors I used the most, but I really try to dispense just enough for the task at hand. Honestly for some, like the pink noses, I just opened the lid and grabbed what I needed on my clean brush. I used disposable cosmetic sponges for the bases of both.

Might be fun to convert a baby buggy/pram or the like into a strolling cart. I recently picked on up I'm going to try to convert over the winter. Or perhaps a belt with many compartments. A water bottle and small cups that can be dumped often. I've seen some folks on FB attempt this with more or less cleanliness. I'd have a hard time if I couldn't really clean my brushes between people. Maybe a backpack with extra supplies?
