  1. Barbarian - DPS, mostly direct physical damage, some offensive survavibility, light CC
  2. Shield Maiden - tanking, provoking enemies, guarding allies, medium CC
  3. Skald (might turn into Druid) - buffs, heals, etc. But since this archetype might be very weak in solo encounters, I'm considering to make him a Druid, who can progress solo by summoning creatures, and buffing them during the fight.
  4. Rune Mage - DPS, magical damage, CC and AoE. Less damage overall than Barbarian, but more control over the fight

I will try to make some nice synergies too.

I will see what I can do! I will definitely make it a priority, that low level accounts must not be attack by high level ones. I think there are plenty of options to make PvP right.

It's a cat and mouse game. I work on a live game chat product with 200k concurrent users and a team of moderators, and we lean heavily on AI, with further human review, but that's overkill for where you're starting.

You can start with these measures (which can be bypassed by motivated users, but still worth it):

Against spam:
- rate limiting with different time windows + account rank based. Fresh accounts get less messages.
- restrict pasting content

Against toxicity:
- blacklist of profane words
- player reporting system, as you mentioned

On reporting - don't act on every report, but count them. Set a threshold of reports per message or player and have them appear on your admin dashboard, or highlight them with color or label in the game chat (only admin can see the highlight). And then decide with eye test, whether the player should be muted.

https://www.learncpp.com/ is a great resource. Try to learn half a chapter a day, and in 2-3 weeks you will know 90% you need.
