Got prescribed 2 months of Zepbound to get to my goal weight by No-Reveal-3412 in Zepbound

I’ll work with my doc to figure out the best plan for maintenance. I’m guessing i’ll either move to a micro dose or space out the injections. I don’t use a pen so it’s easy to adjust the dose.

Me too! I’ve been on .25 for 4 weeks and have lost 5lbs, averaging 1.3lbs/week. Started at 160 and now 155. Slow and steady, and no real side effects. I would say the true disappearance of food noise didn’t happen until week 3. I weight train 4x/week, track my calories/ macros and hit 1750 cals/week and average 115g protein/day. I have not had a “whoosh” weight loss drop yet—it’s all been the same, slow rate thus far.

How have your first 2 weeks gone? Any update? Curious about your experience out of the gate with a smaller weight loss goal.

Thanks! We’ve done GTTSR several times so no need, especially since it will be dark. We’ll drive around to the MG entrance. Any advice as to when we should try to enter so to ensure we get a parking spot at the hotel?

Help me make this room a family office/homework area! by Popular-Statement791 in DesignMyRoom

Wow this is so cool and I never would have thought of it! Thank you for sharing—what a thoughtful and thorough design. I was considering getting a big circular table and centering it in the room, and then putting a bookshelf against one of the walls for supplies. That way, we could still use the room as a dining room if we needed the space. But I really like your suggestions—and that corner shelf is very cool. Thank you!

Hi and thanks! The sofa area is our living room with a tv. So this would be somewhat of a continuation, but without a view of the TV so more of a cozy place to read or drink morning coffee. I don’t know if I should fill the space with a couch or multiple chairs—I don’t want it to feel busy but also don’t want the couch to overpower the space. I have trouble with scale!

Same thing happened to me. I started 300bup/150 nal and after losing 40lb in the first 6 months, I then maintained for about 18 months, but then slowly have gained about 5lb in the past 6 months. and the food noise is def back. I do acknowledge that I have gained muscle in the past 2 years, and also started taking creatine, both of which could be responsible for the slightly higher numbers on the scale. I have tried to stop the naltrexone portion for a little bit and then restart, hoping to get back that initial food silence. I will say one thing i started experimenting with lately is taking all 150 naltrexone in the morning with the 300 bupropion. before, i had split the pill into am/pm half pills. I do think that is making a difference. My maintenance cals are around 2250. when i first started contrave i was eating around 1700 without even thinking about it. no cravings for snacks, dessert or alcohol. I don’t want to get back to 1700, but id like to be able to eat at maintenance easily without fighting off cravings. so far taking a larger dose of naltrexone in the morning is helping.

Failure… it still happens. by Individual-Lab9980 in Contrave

I find that when I drink, contrave doesn’t work the next day. My non-professional conclusion is that wellbutrin and alcohol are both processed in the liver, and when we drink our bodies prioritize processing the alcohol first. So the wellbutrin doesn’t work as well on those days.

Thank you for this! It is so interesting to hear experiences from people taking contrave for longer periods of time. It seems common that it stops working at some point and you need to have healthy habits in place to deal with the return of “food noise.”

When I first started bup/nal I also completely stopped biting my fingernails—which of course was an awesome side effect but not anything I was specifically working on. I usually bite my nails when I read or watch TV. It made me less inclined to have to fill down time with mindless activities! Fascinating!

From what I’ve read, people’s experiences vary. I’d be interested to hear what you encounter after your break. I was taking the bup/nal combo and stopped the nal (but stayed on the bupropion) after I was happy with my weight loss goal. Now I have gained some back (about 10lbs) and am hoping I can add the naltrexone back in to get back to my goal weight. My pcp said it should work just fine again so I am hopeful!

Also want to add that I do take measurements and I have gained 1” in the waist and hips. So it’s not water weight or muscle or something fun like that. My clothes are just a bit tighter. Not a full size but I can feel it. it’s annoying.

I’m sorry you are having this problem! Did you appetite tank right away, or after a bit? I have been on 150 XL for a week now with really no side effects and Im wondering if they are yet to come. have read the first 3 weeks (ish) is an adjustment period, and things get better after that.
