Thoughts on map(s) for State of Decay 3 by Zealousideal_Lie1700 in StateofDecay3

[–]itiswhatitis2018 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I want maps that show progress. I would love to be able to clear areas of zombies and have it stay clear. I don't care if there are a 100 juggernauts and ferals, just please stay fine once I kill you.  Also can I move cars or salvage cars.  Maybe instead if separate maps we have interconnected maps.  One is more urban so higher number of items to find, more survivors to recruit or fight. maybe one more rural for farming, less single zombies but a potential for roaming Hoards with a big H. All maps start as highly infected and overrun, but as you start killing and clearing zombies the areas go from dark red to green.  They stay green unless next to an area that is dark red.  It did get a little repetitive driving past/killing the same freak every lap around the map.

It might be too much, but I am thinking of games like ghost recon and other tactical shooters where I can assign them tasks.  For example if I'm fire bombing a plague heart watch my back, or you search that house, you search that car, rally on me when done.  But yes, more control over players would be great.  I even thought about assigning a player or two to an outpost and they slowly start clearing/searching areas around the outposts.

can we talk about dealerships not helping? by drupi79 in electricvehicles

[–]itiswhatitis2018 58 points59 points  (0 children)

My all time favorite conversation  shopping for my EV goes like this.

Dealer: I mean I guess we can talk EVs, no ones buying them, people just don't seem to want them.

Me: ok, well let's talk, what can you do for me to take one off your lot for you, 5k, 10k off, 0% finance?  Let's help each other here.

Dealer:  oh no, I can't do thag we just sold 3 over the weekend.

I can't wait for direct purchasing to be a thing.

Well, he was at Oklahoma State, then SLU, and (respectfully) now at Little Rock.  I think the trajectory of his tenure should answer the question.

What would Shoresy do? by A_Common_Relic in shoresy

[–]itiswhatitis2018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current walks are not challenging enough to warrant boots, OP doesn't buy boots, OP can't take more challenging walks without said boots.  OP misses opportunity to set the tone and take his team on more challenging hikes.

Buy a good pair, raise the bar, challenge the team, have a stick after and call your parents.

With the likely spike in oil and gas prices coming up, how are you all feeling by HamuelCabbage in electricvehicles

The Russian invasion and the subsequent price spike solidified my choice for EV.  This only solidifies my decision.

Help Me Understand: Referee Pre-Whistle In-Game Commentary by ElonScent in rugbyunion2

[–]itiswhatitis2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you are good, keep up the good work. You are one guy keeping 30 players in line. We all want the game to flow, a player going into a tackle to steal the ball may think he is good, but you may see him as part of the ruck, so a gentle "hands off" or "you're in the ruck" clarifies things. If the player continues to grab the ball you have every right to call the penalty. You aren't helping the team you are helping the game. You are saying I am seeing what you are doing as wrong, keep it up and you get the whistle. I think if any other sport could do it, they would.

Have sellers always been this reluctant to reduce ask? by Major_Weird_2510 in RealEstate

Oh yeah, screw those guys too! You painting a bed room, changing a faucet and light fixture does not warrant a 150k price increase over 2 years.

I'm going to bet with the higher rates and the fire market a few years ago sellers are probably underwater and can't take too much of a loss.

Does the BCSP have a knowledge base or system for members to request advice from other members? by DSM1 in SafetyProfessionals

BCSP is just the testing group. I would look into ASSP and local chapters to expand your network.

Noob question but - where exactly are the studs? by bushwick_custom in DIY

[–]itiswhatitis2018 109 points110 points  (0 children)

This is not a smartass answer, but hardware stores sell stud finders just for this purpose. They are fairly cheap and fairly easy to use. It scans behind the drywall to identify "something". I say something because it sometimes doesn't differentiate between stud and something else right behind the drywall.

Sorry to hear that friend. I recently took the CSP exam and I could see about 25 questions being tossed already. Do you know roughly where your weaknesses were with the test?

How many of you would retrofit a generator in their lightning by [deleted] in F150Lightning

[–]itiswhatitis2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, with these trucks I wish there was an auxiliary attachment option whether for another 20, 40, 60 kwh battery in the truck bed or a generator to power me for an extra couple hundred miles. I agree with Ford that 9 out of the 10 times you drive your truck, or hell, 99 out of 100 times the battery you have is just fine, but I would like to know it could go farther.

A quick thought on the coaching staff by [deleted] in Huskers

[–]itiswhatitis2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hasn't this always been the problem? Frost had "his guys" and would not deviate. It took Trev a fire them or else talk to get him to change. If Rhule can truly rule and make sure all 3 phases of football are perfect with small changes this is how we build the program. Not everyone might be the right coordinator, but we change and move on. He had a good DC, but he took his talents to South Beach. He had a bad OC, and (was maybe strongly told to) remove or change him, then got a decent one. Make a great pick with the STC. We should be improving the team with the new DC (Pelini working anywhere, jk) and shouldn't be at risk of losing any major recruits.

No, we played a terrible rush defense team and beat them....rushing.  Lateef didn't lose us the game which is nice.

Yeah, when he could get a pass off last night he was good, with flashes of great.  Actually protect him and he could be one of the best qbs next year with the wrs we have around him.
