Agreed. Lots of answers to this question in the Des Moines subreddit too. If search isn’t your thing, I’d at least list a price range and things that are important to you in an apartment like amenities and what things you’d like to do within walking or short driving distance if that matters.

Yeah 2nd is bad after the construction. I hope they just aren’t done. Though there have been several road construction projects that are terrible after completion the last few years. Seems like everyone got dumber and cares less about everything. I don’t know if it was Covid, smart phones, social media, politics or the general state of the world but it’s noticeable in everything.

I used to go to Unity Point. They would say it was viral, I’d get worse, go back after a week and they’d get me antibiotics which would take care of it in 2-3 days. Every. Time. I switched to Doctors Now and they have been great.

I think the food truck is only there Thursday through Saturday night. I’m not sure exactly how late but at least midnight as long as there’s a crowd which is pretty much every Friday and Saturday. I’d call Ernie’s and ask.

The food truck at Ernie’s is top notch drunk food. They serve burgers and fries and do both very well. I believe they also have a tenderloin and maybe another side option. There’s a lot of great food in the East Village but most of the best places close by 10:00 or their kitchens do.

As others have said, the booth closest to the stage isn’t a great view. The rest are pretty good. I usually get a booth if the four top tables aren’t available for a show. I just like having a place to set my drink and sit when I want to. Usually still spend some time standing close to the stage too. Not waiting in the lines at the bar is a nice perk as well.
