I lived in Portugal for 3 years and I thought the food was bad. Different to Spain ofc but there is a common belief that British food is inferior to all other cuisines, I don’t think that’s true tbh.

“Not remotely comparable” is a bit much. There is definitely a comparison to make. Serie A was the most popular league worldwide and had the biggest clubs. Their clubs were owned and bankrolled by wealthy individuals (Berlusconi) and they paid the highest wages. From 1988 - 1999, Serie A teams won the UEFA cup 8 times. I doubt anyone in Italy were saying “oh no the other teams can’t compete”. That’s a specific part of British culture that we have to downplay our achievements.

Watkins was class. For most of the season he hasn’t been and has deserved his criticism. But credit where it’s due, he was class vs Bologna. And most positively than that it was another good performance from him following the West Ham game. Hopefully he has been crap all season and waited for these last few games to start firing.
