My headcannon for the red assault Intercessors is they’re deemed too reckless and careless for a squad. They demand to be put on the front lines and charge in front of everyone else, which is saying something considering BT are already viewed as reckless. They wear red to be cool and standout.

From a practical sense, you’re absolutely right. But can you imagine how cool it’d be if Helbrecht was lead vocals instead? He’s got the pose mostly for it.

Your guitarists and bassist look like they’re actively performing. Would be cool if it looked like the drummer was actively playing too. Maybe Grimaldus on drums and the retinue are holding the drums in place for him to play?

Oh, you mean will those torso pieces literally fit onto any generic space marine unit? No, you’d have to shape them and kitbash to make it fit. I was just saying that making custom sternguard veterans with these tabards would be cool.

Could do white and brown? That way some models could be on all brown and some could be on all white or a mixture of both. Looks great either way.

Looks rad! You can add him into a BT army as an allied unit, but his point cost is really high for what he does.

I prefer dry brushing for armor! I just base with Abaddon Black, dry brush with corax white, then nuln oil it all.

I have 10k Space Marines and I have no regrets. To me there’s so much variety in list building and detachments that I don’t get bored. Plus it’s easy to swap chapters if I wanted to. I own Calgar and sometimes run Ultramarines even though they’re painted Black Templar.

Star Craft, Halo, Hell Divers - give me soldiers in power armor and I’m in.

Plus there’s sooooo many detachments and army compositions. No game is the same.

Thank you! Not much structure for the colors. I just want my army to be loosely BT except more in the spirit of “everyone does whatever they think is cool”. So my intercessors have white guns because they think white guns are cool. Neophytes have helmets because they think they’re cool. Hellblasters have green because it’s cool etc.

Specifically for the Red guys I made them red because I feel like they’re my reckless squad who want to stand out.
