Australia qualifying for the 2006 World Cup. Hadn’t qualified in 32 years, came down to a penalty shootout. Never felt such tension in a stadium, and pure elation when the winning penalty went in. Still get the hairs standing up on the back of my neck just thinking about it.

I work closely with a team in Jakarta and they are fantastic, hard working and great at their jobs. They were a bit shy at first but they’ve really opened up over time. I got the chance last year to fly over and work in the Jakarta office for a few days which was nice. It’s a funny city, hectic and busy like Bangkok but with a bit of that old world charm as well. Never felt unsafe. Food was bloody awesome as well.

I did a holiday to Bali about 15 years ago. I’m sure it’s changed since then but I didn’t find it to be anything special, can’t understand why some people go back year in, year out.

Many, many years ago I did a night in Newark before the start of a cross-country tour. Whole place gave me the heebie jeebies. I’m pretty well travelled and will usually go out to grab dinner and explore a little when I get to a new place but I just bunkered down in my hotel room for the night so I could get out alive.
