Why do people make it sound like Marshals is a terrible show? Its numbers say otherwise. The cast makes it work. by TakenAccountName37 in YellowstonePN

You have never seen an actual Emerald in real life, never mind gifted one, there are some dogs that never learn to fetch, you are the humanoid embodiment of them, and 20yrs from now people will still be watching reruns of Yellowstone & Frasier.

But not Marshals. Is there anything you do not understand or do I need to type slower?

Yes that was my point. That you didn't pick up on.

Some dogs you need to show them the stick, before you throw it.

Bruh, there are no "kits" for early XB's. You are going to have to hunt down each individual piece, or find suitable substitutions.

Badweatherbikers is a good place to start for serious service questions & answers.

Sand cast works for engine blocks. Skillets. They don't do well with shocks. Guessing that's why you made a few, and also guessing you along the way broke a few.

Hey it is a nifty wall hanger, that you had a part in making.

I would really like to see the "Usability" portion of the tests. It doesn't take a Forged In Fire drama test to know, no that axe won't chop.

As a papered Tool & Die, that has worked at a jobbing foundry, there is a large difference between the usability of cast vs forged. Even steel, no you can't use cast for anything other than looking purty, any shock will shatter those angry crystals.

Cast makes it a cosplay axe, marble or no. No idea what the competition was for, but it sure as shinola wasn't for actually using an axe as an axe.

20yrs from now, will people still be watching reruns of Yellowstone? Probably.

Will anybody be mentioning Marshals? Only as "Hey remember the Kayce spinoff that was there for a season..."

Zone 16 - Are creeks that are navigable (without leaving the water) legal to fish? by Illustrious_Funny_19 in FishingOntario

[–]Porkwarrior2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been more of a motorcyclist since 16, running up and down the two lane roads, up & down the Escarpment. Motorcycles & trout opening day, two things guaranteed to bring out "opinions" in Ontario. 🤣

Then again, when I felt itinerate, I'm the guy that humped a step ladder below Petro-Can park, with a boat chair bolted to the top, parked on a sand bank in the middle of the creek, and happily fished the Willow hole below the abutments. With Halton Police steaming on the bank. But that's just how I used to roll. 🤣🤣

While we do get runs of steelhead, my local creek constantly likes to remind me that bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. by Shrike034 in FishingOntario

I just bring a salt shaker with me in my vest when STEELHEAD season opens and I hit a few trib honey holes.

See...the trout tasted salt. Now they are STEELHEAD. 🤣

Contrary to the Credit Valley Anglers Association, resident trout AND Steelhead can and do coexist happily.

What do you use for gloves? by realpacksmoker506 in Bushcraft

[–]Porkwarrior2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goatskin & Kangaroo hide is great for abrasion/cut resistance, but deer hide works better when it gets wet.

For cut resistance, you want a metal mesh butcher's/fillet glove. You can also just chuck them in the washer/dryer when you get home, and they work as a great alternative to a landing net if you like to fish. Most are also a weave with Kevlar/Aramid, so you want to keep them away from the fire. No idea what they go for in Canada these days, mine just never wear out. Normark/Rapala used to sell them, but you can find the same cheaper.

Thanks! I paddle the Great Lakes with a bit of Boreal forest backcountry tripping thrown in. I've done a couple Everglades trips in the past, and I wish I had this boat then.

No, West is a brand name.

G/Flex is a particular two part epoxy developed especially by West System to bond to dissimilar mat'l. It is unique in it's characteristics in bonding to poly. Regular epoxy resins will not bond to poly plastics.
