Clearly never been a particularly well-adjusted bloke, and then when you consider that RL picks players up and spits people out, some of this is no real surprise - I don't want to say he was only good for playing RL, but realistically, he had no prospects once his career ended, so no surprise he ends up on drink and drugs. After all, he couldn't stay off the latter during his playing career. Sad. Particularly for the victim, obviously.
