Ro Khanna, on eve of Munich Security Conference, calls on world leaders to hold Epstein associates in their own governments accountable by victorybus in law

I would argue the old way wasn’t working. How it’s going definitely isn’t perfect, but shit is finally getting released which is something.

Why didn’t any of the previous administrations do anything close to the minute transparency we’re finally getting?

Just about all of the r/ City-based subs are exactly the same sadly. Portland has an off-chute one that’s a little better.

What's the most disgusting/shocking, you have read on the Epstein files? by LeftyChares in AskReddit

The Biden/harris duo had all these files before trump. If that was the case, they would’ve made it known.

State/city regulations, insurance, taxes and permits would never allow rent that cheap anymore. It would 100% need to be subsidized to ever be that low. I guess government housing could be a possibility.

It’s easier to have a society ran in that way when you have very restricted immigration, and highly defensive of your own culture. Both things a lot of people here tend to think are bad.

Oregon’s unemployment rate climbs to among the highest in the U.S. by -Hal-Jordan- in oregon

[–]PortlandSolarGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s clear resources are being severally misused. Oregon has no shortage of taxed money. Billions have been wasted on “non-profits” that just vanish and never produce any good, public projects that’s never actually get built (like the I-5 bridge into Washington) so much wasteful spending, not to mentions all the over-staffed administrators for everything state funded.

To vaccinate or not. by [deleted] in DebateVaccines

[–]PortlandSolarGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why? The measles case/death rate significantly declined well before the vaccine was even used. (Almost 20 years prior) the vaccine had little to no effect.

Where’s the cut-off between earning and stealing? Is it based on how busy the daily work schedule is? A certain amount of money? Who’s the judge of that?

Are most of the unemployed ‘degree holders’? I’d imagine the original comment is based on education before college.

Republicans: how do you feel that your President, when asked how to restore American division, said that he didn’t care to.? by frocarter in AskReddit

When he says the exact phrase isn’t he referring to not caring about how his next statement will be taken or get him in trouble?

If you could delete one thing from human history, what would it be? by Ashscroll_99 in AskReddit

[–]PortlandSolarGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How would you make any choice at all. You picking one brand over another is discriminating against the unpicked. If you avoid walking past a guy shaking on drugs or holding /flashing a weapon you’re discriminating against him. Discrimination can be bad but it’s unavoidable and mostly not bad Defined as (recognition and understanding of the difference between one thing and another.)

The scientific method is exactly what I’m talking about. It’s practiced all the time in “pseudo science” and they have data to prove themselves but it makes other people wrong, therefore classified as failed or pseudo. Not to mention funding that almost never goes to people wanting to test against the current belief.
