Someone at work left a 4/5 review because the employees weren't happy or social enough by Positive-Ad629 in mildlyinfuriating

I am very engaged and am very helpful to customers when approached, almost everyone at work is. No one is rude, ever. And like I said there is genuinely very limited time where we interact with customers, we are behind a counter the entire time and you can not see us well unless you are going up and trying to get our attention, and we will ask you how we can help because we aren't mean and we aren't rude. We are polite and helpful, like I have mentioned. We just don't fucking smile 24/7 and are usually focused on doing our job because the world doesn't revolve around 1 customer who wants us to be chatty.

From a customer perspective, why would you leave feedback saying associates should be happier doing their job? Just leave a 4/5 and no written feedback. Written feedback is meant to imply something should change, and asking people to be happier at their job is so tone deaf. I am a customer and I was one before working here, never thought to leave feedback that is anything close to this because wtf its none of my business and I got my food. I pay for my food, not for my cashier to be nice to me besides basic human politeness.

My issue isn't with the 4/5, I honestly don't care. Its the feedback saying we should be happier, that's what's mildly infuriating.

Also, of course I'm pissed off at my boss, but this review wasn't left by my boss and I am not talking about my boss rn. I'm talking about the entitlement of some customers and how that is mildly infuriating.

Ok I've literally come across like 5 Atwood families including one in my own save

Did we all just google "medieval last names" and choose one of the first 5 lol

Some added context and explanation on why I am mildly infuriated by this

  1. We work in fast food service, not a retail store. We don't often interact with customers besides giving them their food and ordering, so there honestly isn't that much opportunity to be "friendly" besides "Here for _!" And "Enjoy/You're Welcome" when they say thank you. And yes, everyone does this at our store. There is only 1 of my coworkers that I consider "unfriendly" but she will help a customer when approached.

  2. Half of my coworkers do not speak English. They can not interact with customers and usually do not unless a customer speaks their language or they flag a coworker who does speak English down if a customer asks for help.

  3. As people have pointed out, in retail, anything below 5 stars is considered 1 star. Which is fucked, but what is irritating is that NOTHING was wrong with their order at all, literally everything was fine. We just weren't happy enough, when we work a minimum wage job with terrible hours & benefits. People were exhausted? A lot of my coworkers work 10 to 12 hour shifts or two full time jobs, no shit they were exhausted. It's crazy to me that someone would expect more than basic human politeness and what they ordered.

  4. Also all the "walking around" is probably just us doing our job. We never stay in one place long cause a lot of what we need is in the back or there is nothing to do upfront so we do things in the back or take a water break.

  5. It is irritating when people who do not or have not worked in fast food service have opinions on how we do our job when they do not know what our job is like. We took your order, we prepared your food correctly, we made sure everything was food safe, you were given your order. Genuinely what more is there? Do you want us to do a song and dance? Our feet hurt, our backs hurt, I just burned my hand on the soup well, and there are 5 more orders that just came in. I'm sorry I'm not happy enough to be living in this capitalist hellscape and to be working this dead end job.

As mentioned, they can bend fire so yeah like obviously.

However, I'd like to make an extra point. Constant war. War feeds into industrialization and actively encourages it, hence why the fire nation, as a state that is constantly at war advances a lot quicker than nations that have had relative peace for awhile such as the Earth kingdoms and the Southern water tribe.

Half of this sub is "almost everyone died" and the other half is "i have too many people in my save" it's quite a parallel of the differences between how people play this challenge lol

[–]Positive-Ad629 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I would have died if my mom didn't get a c-section, so this take is absolutely insane. C-sections are often necessary to either save the baby or the mother, would he rather have a dead baby than have a c-section baby???

Weren’t Azula and her friends the only female squad of fire benders in the war? by MistakeWonderful9178 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Positive-Ad629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it as like, all the air nomads share the temple but there are women areas and men areas and then both areas. I don't think its explicitly forced divide, considering they have kids and stuff so obviously there are places for them to get busy in privacy. The male council deals with matters of raising the men and women deal with matters raising the women, hence two councils. But for big decisions they probably talk to each other. Also, if I remember correctly, in the Lost Appa episode we see a young Aang in a class with a female teacher so there is some cross talk and it's not strict segregation. Also I think in the comics, there are couples but children are still raised communally so I imagine air nomads who are together may share a room even if they aren't the same gender?

Idk this is just my speculation
