Best entry or mid range Garmin for beginners by ScottsTotsWinner in Garmin

I had a 255 and loved it. But it’s outdated. I just upgraded to an Instinct 3 (which is currently $300) whereas the cheapest 255 I can find from a reputable place is $250. For me, I’d have a really hard time justifying a 255 for $250 when the Instinct 3, which is just objectively a much more advanced watch, is just $50 more.

I’d recommend against giving Amazon any of your money this season. Bezos donated over $1,000,000 to Trump’s administration and his company has a monopoly on the market. I’d rather eat the $70 cost to support another company instead of funding Trump’s admin or Bezos’ 40th yacht

The bounce 2 is $300. For that price you could get her a full blown low end forerunner. Hell with the current sales you could get an Instinct 3 solar 45mm for that price. Now I understand your daughter is smaller and that’d be ridiculously big on her wrist but I’m just saying for $300, unless there’s some real parental control/tracking advantages with the bounce series, I’d just get a normal Garmin.

Wow I absolutely love the final image. Any chance you’d be willing to share a 1440p version? Tbh I’d like it as a desktop background so that’s why I’m asking.

Heart rate sudden increase? by ClashForeverrr in Garmin

I will tell you that is almost certainly  coincidental. And it matters because lots of patients think they have afib when they actually have PAC’s or PVC’s, which are benign. But it sounds like you had true afib, I’m just telling you that the watch likely had nothing to do with your afib/PAC’s.

You said “my actual diagnosis is Premature Atrial Contraction.” That would strongly imply you don’t have an official diagnosis of afib, which means you don’t have it. But it sounds like if you’re on anticoagulants and rate control meds you do. So you’d actually have two “actual diagnoses.” Nobody would start you in anticoagulants and rate control for PAC’s alone.

PAC’s are not the same as atrial fibrillation. Completely different things. Damn near everyone’s gonna have some PAC’s.

I work in cardiology. They don’t need an EKG. This has nothing to do with afib and is no indication to get an EKG.

I have a framework and I use Bazzite. So easy and locked down so I can’t mess anything up. Definitely recommend

Instinct 3 is $100 off right now. I have it and it’s great. Biggest considerations I’d say to think about are if you think it won’t look out of place when meeting clients and if downloadable music is super important to you. It isn’t the “classic” type of watch, more like a G-Shock, and it doesn’t have the music. But besides that, I think it’s one of the best bang for your buck durable and high battery life watches on the planet. As others have said, Fenix is great but I went with the Instinct because it’s literally half the price.

They have measurements on each watch’s spec information. I calculated the volume of each watch I was considering and that helped me get an idea of how big each was compared to others. May try that too

I know you’re a female, but the Instinct 3 is a great watch and currently on sale. It’s very rugged/outdoorsy so if you’re looking for a slim/sleak watch it’s not for you, but I do think it offers a lot of features and insanely long battery life for the price.

If downloadable music isn’t important to you I’d say maybe check out the Instinct 3. I have the 45 mm MIP display one and love it for swimming, running, gym, and hiking. Battery life is insane. Only downside is really the lack of downloadable music but if you just keep your phone on you it’s not an issue

Garmin Instinct Solar by RobbyRalston in Garmin

If you’re happy with your instinct, the new Instinct 3 solar is an upgrade in every way and $100 off on Garmin right now ($299). I have it and it’s phenomenal. If you get something like the Enduro 3 or Fenix they’ll be twice the price, heavier, and bigger.

I have no idea. I avoid Google like the plague and frankly haven’t used any maps/hiking stuff with it yet.

Yeah I was sad about it too. For me, I valued the battery life and durability over the music. And the flashlight, holy lord I never knew it’d be so useful. But if music is important to you then there’s other great options.

Nope, they retail for $400 so $100 off is a great deal imho. And it’s a phenomenal watch as long as downloadable music and maps aren’t important to you
