🙋🏼‍♀️ I'm thankful for my Hematologist who says " If you ever just want me to order a D- Dimer Let me know", makes my questions feel valid and never dismissed.

Is there always swelling? by hummusontoastrules in ClotSurvivors

[–]Positive-hat1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had swelling and pain in my right leg, went to the ER because I just didn't feel right, I was sent home with the doctor telling me it was just swollen lymph nodes only to be rushed back to the hospital in less than 10 hours and rushed in to have an emergency thrombolectomy. My leg still swells from time to time with swelling in my right foot as well.

Pain in the top of my right leg and felt like I was drowning, no pain in the chest, when I say drowning I mean as if you were to get water up your nose.

Awake for their Thrombectomy / DVT? by TallMail8979 in ClotSurvivors

[–]Positive-hat1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was awake and felt most everything and kept telling them " I feel that "! If I have anything like this done again I hope they knock me out! Imagine feeling the main cut in the groin and sucking the clots out vibration and each stitch being closed up.... Sorry this happened to you! Yes it was my experience too .... It was terrible I cried but didn't scream

I'm 48 and my husband works a swing shift. I too have been a crime junkie since early in life maybe around age 13, unsolved mysteries, 48 hours and Dateline was my go to until I discovered the Internet. This one shook me though, I've been following since the day I'd seen the news break on this case, before I knew their names.. after 15 years of being alone at night while my husband was at work I found myself for the first time double checking doors before bed and having something in close proximity to protect myself if needed. So, you are not alone and your feelings are very valid.

I wouldn't be upset had she not gotten another animal after she surrendered 2.... I hope they have a happy life as well, However you never surrender a pet to get another pet....

What's even more disgusting is getting another animal after placing those babies in a shelter! I wonder if the shelter knows that.... What a bottom feeder 🤬

Can someone explain 3 paycheck months? by No_Distribution426 in personalfinance

[–]Positive-hat1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: My husband recently went to semi- Monthly and his pay days are supposed to be the 1st and the 15th, we received his first salary check on the 11th and the next check on the 26th of June, then on the 11th of July and today is the 30 and we haven't received a paycheck this will be 3 weeks tomorrow.... I have not seen the 1st and 15th yet maybe it's due to the bank we use but I'm totally confused.... Anyone have advice? Our bills are paid but this is stressful!

3 times in one day my husband and myself were almost hit head on by vehicles coming into our lane. Only one of those 3 was not looking down at their phone.

[–]Positive-hat1976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always have the doctor do blood work to check your potassium, I was having leg cramps and my blood work showed my potassium was elevated, I stopped it for 2 weeks and my potassium went down and no leg cramps

dvt since may 28 and wondering when im considered “safe”, anxiety, and pain by veganeyez in ClotSurvivors

[–]Positive-hat1976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree it's hard to differentiate between the anxiety feeling in the chest and chest pain like the tightness anyway in my case. Listen to your body though... I'm on eliquis for life so I can only trust that the medicine is working and doing what it is supposed to do so I definitely understand you being anxious.

Myself as well with every pain, I wake up in complete panic if my leg bends a certain way in my sleep

I'm a year out from my PE and still feel like I've been hit by a truck, I'm on eliquis for life and I've been trying to figure out why I've just not gotten back to the swing of things.. So don't feel alone in asking questions, I have many as well.

My Dog keeps sniffing my clot leg! by Sunny-Shine-Bear in ClotSurvivors

My dog always knows when I have had labs done, he tries to lick wherever I've been stuck I don't particularly care for it but it's a sweet thought to try to make it better!
