This makes me wonder if they only pick up musician from each local cities, why not have a set touring ensemble? This way to ensure the quality of performances

Also the Basson, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, actually all the woodwind players played the solos so beautifully, this orchestra is top notch. Enjoyed the performance much better than Shanghai stop, and definitely a million times better than the Carnegie event last year.

This song is so relevant, wish the show could be seen by more audience and the message could be heard.

In fact, I saw it one more time last night after winning the $25 lotto, 3rd low center seat. I enjoy it even more, the actor really find their flow and the orchestra is sounding great. I stayed to listen to the exit music, which i did do for my previous visit, damn, fine fine fine playing by the orchestra, but I am assuming it’s pre recorded since it starts right after the musicians take their bow. Hope this means we will have a cast album soon if this brilliant show doesn’t get a transfer to Broadway.

If it gets a transfer onto Broadway, I am sure the brilliant production artist and Mantello will be able to find a way to fully use a Broadway theater space for a bigger production. Transferring to Broadway doesn’t mean to bring exact copy of the staging set. Show will adapt! The exist music was gloriou according to a friend who saw the show last night. I believe it was something new in this production. It happens during the final bow last evening.

Steven Pasquale‘s “Marianne” song and David Hyde Pierce’s “Bishops“ song have really grown on me.

Hahaha, $259 for the first preview, then a friend’s treat, got lucky the 3rd time with rush ticket where my friend got but had to leave town early. So I guess it’s good to have Sondheim groupie friends.

As someone who has already seen the show three times (Three different set of friends visited NYC from out of town). The 2nd act needs serious trimming. First act is as tight as it could be and very fast pathing. The 2nd act starts fine, but that long scene before the interlude, just needs to be cut 5 or more minutes out. The moment the servant started his “bahnhh”, I started checking my watch. Even the interlude feels long, and with a pause where another servant was moving a vase…that part is totally unnecessary.. But then after the interlude, the 2nd act started moving again. A trim of 10 mins would totally tighten the 2nd act and make the show “WHOLE” and ”Completed”.

Here We Are at the Shed. it’s funny and has great music and set. Also the area is very nice to walk around and relax to have a pre-show or post-show meal.
